This is a special song that I wrote and addressed to my wife to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary. 25 years of marriage is quite a long time! To be honest, my wife is not fully satisfied with this serenade of a gothic vibe, because its lyrics is related solely to the darkest side of our long-term relationship, which obviously went through many different phases (most of them much happier than this song would ever be able to express). But I said: “honey, let’s get it straight, you are married to a Goth and a darkly inclined individual who has been glorifying dark romanticism for 25 years of our journey together. So, buckle up, and enjoy the ride!”

This track is a result of my highly valued and close collaboration with Wojciech Makowski, who is still my dearest friend since elementary school. It started with a few lines of text in which Wojciech described his loneliness, sitting for hours in an empty room. This feeling reminded me of my childhood trauma and several drastic scenes that I experienced as a victim of domestic violence from my father, all of which happened behind the closed door of an empty room (although there were unwritten neighborhood agreements and social consent for this type of practices). We somehow put these things together and this sad song came out smoothly as some sort of mash-up. Enjoy!

Kamil Walczak (feat. Wojciech Makowski) - EMPTY ROOM (Alt.)

Emotionally very challenging song about the joint drug use as a method of escapism from harsh reality and troubles associated with everyday life. The initial title of this track was “The Golden Shot” which is a reference to the best know but rare method to commit suicide by the intake of drugs. However, it is not always easy to figure out if the golden shot was just an accidental intoxication or a real suicide (without a farewell letter left behind). Anyway, I lost a few good friends to drug abuse, and the entire Grunge Movement collapsed largely because of the drug addiction of its leaders. Somehow, deep inside, I felt obliged to write a song like this one… My drug of choice is gothism. Enjoy!

The title of this track is directly referred to a specific place in New York City. For residents of the district of Queens, especially for those from the family-oriented Middle Village area, Juniper Valley Park is a special place, where they can meet people, take a stroll, play football or tennis, run at the stadium, or spend time with family and friends at some special events. One evening in the late Fall I went for a walk to Juniper Valley Park when suddenly, out of nowhere, a strong wind began to blow, while the trees and even swings started swaying from side to side. Then I looked up at the sky that seemed to be cut open, kept falling down gravitating toward the park, and I felt like being at the center of the universe. This is how I remember that incredible evening and I hope this song fully reflects this amazing feeling. Enjoy!

"In The Hanging Graveyard" is the sixth and final track of the A-side studio album "Bloody Rituals" released in June of 2025 by Hanging Graveyard (duo of two brothers: Michael Walczak and Kamil Walczak). Their music is described as gothic metal, while guitar-driven compositions are carried by instrumental parts blended with lyrical essentialism. The lyrics of this song refer to a vision of the hanging graveyard, where emotional turmoil and existential suffering can find an end in a ritual act of suicide: "In the hanging graveyard / Bloody rituals… / In the hanging graveyard / Creepy animals…".

Intravenous

Kamil Walczak is a solo artist, session musician, songwriter and music producer, who works tirelessly on several projects simultaneously. His musical journey began in the early 1990s when he played drums as a session musician. In 1992-93, he was a bassist of the Polish coldwave band, A Herd Of The Rushing Vises, which broke up after recording a demo tape "The Bad Place” (1993). Since then, he has been writing lyrics, composing and arranging songs. Since 2019, he is associated with the Metronome School of Music and Recording Studio in New York City. Among his releases are: 4 EPs (“Obscured By Gothism”, "Alternative Obscurity", “Overblown By Animosity”, "Alternative Animosity"), 4 singles (“Never Say It's Over”, "Someplace Safe", "Take Me There!", "A Coldwave Summer Breeze"), the singles collection ("By Goth Means Essential..."), and 2 full-length studio albums ("By All Means Necessary...", "By All Means Alternative..."). He is currently working on his next gothic album ("The Torchbearer Of Gothism"), being also involved in other music projects (Em & Double-U, Hanging Graveyard, Bloodmooners, Em & Triple-U).
