Going Home

Stefano Manotti is an Italian singer-songwriter, composer, and guitarist. In March 2021, he released his
first single ("Scorte d'amore") under the Soulgem Records label. In the same month, he joined the
Innovatory of Music, an association and international exchange program created by Paolo Schianchi to
bring together the most promising young Italian talents. In September 2021, he released two singles,
"Cercarmi" and "Dove Andare," in collaboration with Giulio Carmassi (former member of the Pat Metheny
Group), who handled the arrangements and mixing.
In May 2022, his first EP "Ideale" was released, solidifying his previous collaborations with Giulio Carmassi
and Paolo Schianchi. In August 2022, he shared the stage with Enrico Ruggeri as part of the Innovatorio
Festival. In January 2023, he released the single "Borsanera," which climbed to the top positions in
independent and emerging web charts and received airplay on Mradio. In September 2023, he released
two singles, “Leap in the Dark” and “Endless Road,” receiving a favorable review on the A&R Factory blog
which describes him as “virtuoso”.
In April 2024, Leap in the Dark receives the Absolute First Prize and the Visionary Creativity Special Prize  at the international Vivaldi music competition, in the Film/Game music category. On April 25th “Fly and Fall” reaches number 2 in Los Angeles and number 3 in New York in Spotify's local pulse charts

I like Soundcloud because it's a friendly community for sharing our music. When I comment on a track, I like to say something about how you wrote, performed or produced it. I have musically diverse interests: pop/rock, jazz-rock fusion, prog & alternative rock, blues, classical and neoclassical, to mention some. Main instrument is guitar; I'm not a keyboard player or singer, but hopefully I can do enough there to make my work sound ok.

Thanks to  the music-makers ,theirs is the universe of bass and treble ,space and time ,creators of new energies ,free to imagine a world of harmonic structure and dissonant entropy.

Alf Schumacher is a hobby composer, musician and certified audio engineer and living near Hamburg in Northern Germany with his soprano wife "Kirine".  

His tracks show a great variety and often a colorful mixture of (progressive) rock and blues, orchestral pieces, ballads, piano tracks and atmospheric melodies. The process of creating music and songs begins and develops from the heart and the soul, building up soundscapes from emotions - and hopefully generating emotions within the listener. 
Alf’s main focus is on the keyboards: he’s playing piano, "Hammond" organ and synthesizers, but partly also guitar and bass guitar. Everything is recorded, mixed and mastered in their home studio.

Welcome friends and to my profile! I hope to celebrate 300 original tracks on Soundcloud this year!  Thank you for listening and helping me in my musical journey. It has been a difficult year for me personally. Yet, musically, I believe I am writing some of my best music. What Inspires Me...I am inspired each day to compose music that touches and connects the listener in meaningful ways that are personal to their own experiences and feelings.  I believe what the world needs is more songs about love for all living things and the earthly treasures around us. The power of love is magical, mysterious, and miraculous!  And, it is essential to our survival like water and the air we breathe.  I believe that through the universal language of music, love can heal, bring joy, and create an invisible chain that pulls all of us together, not apart.  

A Little About Me...I started composing in 2016  after not touching the piano for many years. A career, raising a family and just every day life got in the way of making music. After retiring as a music teacher in the public schools, I started dreaming of playing the piano again and my years of classical training slowly came back to me. I love every genre of music, and the talent and creativity on SoundCloud has inspired me at every level!

For those of you who follow me on Soundcloud, I have been experimenting with adding tracks to my piano compositions.  I create and record everything myself using a Yamaha 660DGX, including the instrumental tracks built into the keyboard. Then, I edit on my laptop using Sony Sound Forge Music Pro.  It's a simple set up, and I have lots to learn.  I am not afraid of receiving feedback if you have any to give.  Sometimes, it's the most simple thing I may be doing wrong that changes everything!

Subsequently, I created the band Top-Sonart who was nominated two times at l’Adisq and which ended in 1987.
