Gregotechno is the fusion of Gregorian chant and electronic music. This combination interacts with video art of the microcosmos in the live performance, resulting in a triple fusion of essentialism. Festive transcendence serves as the meeting point, blending the repetition of Gregorian modes, the cyclical pulses of electronic music, and the dynamic structures of microscopic entities.

This project, based in Barcelona, started research and preproduction in the fall of 2022 as a musical, scenic, and audiovisual endeavor, thanks to the support of Beques Barcelona Crea 2022. This support facilitated the collaboration between Marc Vilajuana (a multidisciplinary artist and singer specialized in medieval sacred monody), Alejandro Narés (a pianist specialized in minimalist electronic music), and Xavier Arqué (a doctor in nanobiotechnology with expertise in microscopy and audiovisuals).

Other key collaborators are Otger Ibars from Radi Studios for music production and Júlia Girós for a mesmerizing microvisuals edition and VJ. Recently, the project has been selected for consultoring from CC Albareda and La Bàscula.

Having only a demo Vidimus stellam and two songs published (REFLORUIT | Gr. In Deo Speravit and SPIRITUM | Al. Emitte Spiritum), the Gregotechno project already has thousands of listeners between Spain, Mexico, Chile and Colombia.

The rest of the album will be out during 2024, after which live performances of historical relevance and dance atmosphere will start touring.

In 1987 I started listening to Hip Hop mixtapes. At the age of fourteen, I bought my mk2 turntables and my love for music flowed through vinyl. After fifteen years of scratching and juggling, I no longer had time to play music.
In 2017, I came across electronic music and fell in love all over again. Then, in 2023, the desire to DJ returned. Today I'm DJing again, just in a different way than in my teenage years. But the feelings are the same as back then.
It's nice to share my music here and add to the good vibes.
