It feels so good to finally finish this song. This was an idea I had when I was in Europe studying abroad in Italy.

 Unfortunately, a food friend of mine lost someone special in his life and during his night of MOURNING I promised I'd write a song just for him. I woke up the next day with a bag ready for a weekend trip to Switzerland and thats where I go the idea of the title. 

I imagined being in one of the most beautiful countries in the world surrounded by mountains, cheese, and delicious chocolate but even with all these indulgences you can still have an ache in your heart yearning for that missing person in your life. 

This song is dedicated to my friend Peter and to all the amazing adventures we had in Europe.

It began with a jam with Steve Gilmartin on guitar and SA on bass, and sentence: "It's a giant walking around."

SA, added in the deep guitar and other instrumentation, produced the piece and made the art.

As the crocuses rise from the ground.
The boots of the wise man still tramping them down.
As the world makes its slow turn around.
An infinite circle just spinning to ground.
Don't be sad that you live by the ocean,
stone throw to the sea. 
Whilst your bodies in infinite motion, 
but how can that be? 

First things first comes the test, got to prove you're the best, just hitch up on your horse and lets go.
'Cause the meltwater flows where the crocuses grow, 'tween the rocks and the stones that don't know. 
That the river has taken its toll.
That the winter is set to move on.
That the boulders that it set to roll.
Will return to the place they belong.

As the crocuses rise in the spring.
The world in a state of bewildered mourning. 
Though most made it through to this dawn.
There is bare earth where once stood a ripe field of corn. 
There's a chill that comes with your devotion, 
an obvious fee.
Like the wind crossing over the ocean,
just naturally.

The above piece is titled in a very creative way: Danza Latina n.2.
As the title might suggest to the most attentive, the song has to do with Latin America and its music. We take some distinctive traits of certain Argentine, Brazilian and Spanish music and mix them up with the taste of the typical Italian song.
It is a succession of descriptive moments: it is a short story, a modest piece that wants to talk about human feelings in a simple way.
