Bay Area one-man-band Orange Dots (Shony McDonnell), previously known for his Farfisa and Wurlitzer playing in the long running but now defunct San Francisco indie-pop outfit Magic Bullets, shows his love for both the jangle of the c86 movement and the melancholic singer songwriter genre of the mid-eighties on his latest album Deflated. Released on his own Bay Area based record label Recorded Psychic Readings.

The thirteen tracks that make up Deflated tell a deeply personal story about coping with depression while trying to lessen the impact of these mental health issues on loved ones.
