Hailing from Perth the epicenter of the Australasian drum and bass scene, ShockOne aka Karl Thomas origins started in a band with Rob & Gareth from Pendulum, through to his recent assault on drum and bass dance floors worldwide, his musical energy and expression is powerful to say the least.

The beginning of the new year will see ShockOne drop his debut album ‘Universus’. With the first two smash singles from the album ‘Crucify Me’ and ‘Relapse’ released over the past year, ‘Chaos Theory’ presents the latest glimpse into what is undoubtedly one of bass culture’s most eagerly anticipated debut longplayers.

Already a huge star in Australia – where he is without doubt the biggest homegrown DnB star since Pendulum, enjoying headline billing at festivals such Big Day Out and guaranteed daytime playlisting on Triple J radio – ShockOne’s fame has spread worldwide as his long standing relationship with Viper, alongside remixes for artist such as Netsky, Brookes Brothers and Stanton Warriors have seen him grow into one of the most sought after DJ’s, remixers and producers in bass culture. ‘Chaos Theory’ is the latest in a long line of bass wielding super dubs which give a representation of ShockOne as an artist and as a DJ… huge bass, impeccable production with sonic subtlety and melodic nuance.

Zero1 is a drum and bass DJ who grew up in London. After going to his first jungle rave back in 98, solidifying his love for the music, he eventually bought some turntables. After a few years he was running several internet radio shows and later had his mix played on DJ Flight’s ‘Breakin New Talent’ segment on BBC 1xtra.

In 2010 he moved to Melbourne and got deeply involved in the drum and bass scene, building his rep on the underground warehouse party circuit. After a few years he started hosting another radio show on Kiss FM called The LoFreq Show. He has supported artists such as Benny L, Danny Byrd, Friction, Cern, Dom & Roland, Philth, Breakage, Crossy, Djinn, Klute… the list goes on. He has also played at several festivals including the legendary Esoteric Festival. More recently he has progressed into production and event organising with the Bass Culture crew. He is known for his versatile style, smooth flow and technical mixing.

Bass heavy, energetic, and original. Hooves’ music is a richly coloured industrial sound scape of driving beats and sonic treats. He has carved himself a name in the international beats scene as a producer, live percussionist and DJ. Hooves’ slick production and composition, while drawing on his jazz and rock roots, has permeated his long line of solo and collaborative releases; enabling him to produce a live experience for audiences thick with passion, energy and bass. 

As a Drummer, Hooves has worked with some of the worlds best including one of the most recognised live D&B acts, Shapeshifter and, more recently, meteoric glitchhop star Opiuo in the Opiuo Live Band. He has entertained thousands in some of the worlds best arenas, frequented the iconic Shepherds Bush Empire and rocked along side greats at Glastonbury. As a regular at many of Australia’s leading venues and festivals he has DJ’d alongside Andy C, Calyx and Tee Bee, London electricity, Black Sun Empire and many more.

With more than 7 years of international solo and collaborative releases under his belt he has had releases on the likes of State of Mind Music, Obsessions Recordings, and Anodyne Audio. More recently he’s been working with Addictech and Muti Music.

Working on projects with a long list influential Australian and New Zealand artists including JPS, Sean Deans, Armin Payne, Ganga Giri, Syreneyiscreamy and Rayjah45 and further tinkerings with heavyweights MR Carmack and Thelem, Hooves is know as a  multi talented musician, producer, remixer, collaborator and engineer.
