Born in Transylvania to a Hungarian family, long settled in London’s underground scene, living there since over a decade, he is now a resident at accomplished collective Cartulis and founder of The Comfort record label.

His dedicated individual nature as well as stand-out club melting performances, now see him deservedly spreading his wings all over world, where a genre-defying record bag full of hazy rhythms and electro futurism pushes at the boundaries of raw and classic dancefloor sounds, making him the perfect match for clubs and intimate afters alike.

Already a usual figure at established venues as Fold,  Starlane, Womb, Ring, Hoppetosse, Club der Visionaire and other parties through Paris, Barcelona, Seoul or South and North American continent, Asia and Australia; and festivals such as Dimensions."

Alex Downey has been supporting the UK electronic underground movement as a DJ, record-shop manager and now radio presenter for nearly 20 years. Based in Brighton on the south coast of England, he is arguably the city's most prominent purveyor of all things Techno, where he is a regular fixture at the premier high profile events, alongside acts such as Underground Resistance and Derrick May.  
As the main driving force behind the counter at Brighton's highly respected and much-missed [covert] record store & web-site, he was instrumental in bringing quality Techno & House to the city - and beyond, developing along the way a boundless knowledge, vast record collection and infectious passion for the music that's unmatched by most. 
His musical taste & experience speaks for itself and his nocturnal activities behind the decks have earned him much respect and a great reputation amongst the global electronic community. He has been invited to perform at many key events such as ‘Free-rotation’ in Wales,'The Big Beat Boutique' & 'Stompa-phunk' in Brighton, 'Retro_vert' & 'Wiggle' in London, ‘Labyrinth’ festival & ‘Haus-Tek’ in Tokyo, and at many other far-flung destinations, hundreds of smaller parties and long-forgotten club nights that rocked hard, and kept the lifeblood of the scene pumping. He is currently resident DJ at 'Our Friends Electric' in Brighton as well as the 'Split' / 'B A L A N C E' parties in London where he has recently shared the stage with Red-shape, Dave Clarke, Robert Hood, Luke Slater and Carl Craig, to name a few. You can also hear him spin on the ‘Split Show’ - a globally syndicated online radio show with a large number of keen listeners worldwide that he co-presents alongside techno legend Ben Sims.
Alex’s energetic style and enthusiasm for all things deep & electronic are sure to bring some magic to the party and are matched only by his razor-sharp DJ skills. One of the UK’s treasures, solidly and confidently attending to business while other media-hyped storms have come and gone.

Mark started as a lover of electronic house music back in the late 80s. He soon became hooked on the music mainly from Chicago, New York and Detroit. In 1989 he decided to get  a pair of Technics 1210's and started mixing as a bedroom DJ. Not long after he was getting booked play in clubs around the south coast of England. After finding love for Synthesizers Samplers and drum machines he went on to producing his own music and in 1997 he started his own label CRAYON. He became labeled as an abstract Techhouse artist on which he recorded most on Crayon. He also recorded tracks under the name SKYMASTER... a more heavier Techno style project. There were 4 releases on Leftfields Offshoot label. One memorable track was Shooting stars, which became a underground classic amongst the Techno crowd. Mark has recorded for other labels such as Force inc, Minifunk records,Mosaic, Solid Goove ,Offshoot, Euphoria and others. Mark has have travelled as a DJ around the world playing at many nightclubs including England, Spain, Norway, Croatia, Brazil, U.S.A, Canada, France, Slovenia, Denmark, Germany, Australia, Malaysia, Penang and Singapore.

Rite of Passage is the idea of ​​how an individual musical experience can take us beyond the norm, into a transcendent moment through which we grow both emotionally and cognitively. All you need is an open mind, complete willingness to let go of the moment and embrace the art through the collective spirit.
