Hey everyone,

It’s me again. I’m sipping coffee and staring at this Mac’s calendar, suddenly realising it’s already been more than 4 months since the release of “Adamant”. I think thank-yous are way overdue so I’d like to take this opportunity to acknowledge everyone involved in the project as these have been a really amazing four months.

Enough nonsense and let’s back to business, or the purpose of this text: I (drumroll) proudly present the final 5 re-interpretations from some talented friends.

It’s an honour for me to have Francesco’s techno, David’s modular madness, Jake’s synthwork and Martin’s melodies all in one package, but being both fan and friend of everyone on board I’d be blatantly biased in describing this record’s contents.

So, since it’s 2014, why don’t we switch banalities, skip the “description" and “let the music do the talking” (ugh, did I really just write that?)

Having Ballet Mechanique as the first artist in our new series “The Secret Sun” is kind of a dreamlike reality for us.

With this new series we want to bring forward a legacy of electronic music that is channelling higher positive forces and transcending space and time. 
For us, Ballet Mechanique’s music has always done just that.

Digging into his archives, Jeroen brought to light a treasure trove of unreleased music that probably would have been left unheard forever… 

The tracks on this first “Collection 1” were written and produced between the 1992 and 1999.

Tribe is a record label created by like-minded artists from Barcelona, with a bold purpose of generating and sharing their idea of timeless electronic music. The debut EP Tribe01 comprises four different yet catchy and charismatic tunes that meet at the same point –  the dance floor. 

As you take off from the A side, you discover an audioreactive tune “Inertia” – a creation of Baraso & Sonodab aka Barson. The track has a genuine ravy soul spiced with an acid touch and a memorable pad that will get stuck in your head. 
As you continue exploring A side, you recognize the 1996 masterpiece “Hamstrung” by Freddy Fresh aka Modulator, head of Analog Records USA. This exclusive re-edit made with Freddy’s permission has a legendary groove of 90’s and filtered hats that make a good party great.

Moving on to the B side, you meet a serious dance floor burner “Chromatic Life” – a creation of Artes. The track is a travel towards the unknown depth of acid, house and techno sounds – a journey you want to make.

As you finish your sound voyage, you discover a phenomenal “Gravitron” by a mastermind John Shima. The track breathes a melancholic tune, garnished with John’s unique charisma: detroitish pads, acid elements, and a well-balanced groove that will hypnotize with its vibe.

A multi-system conglomerate servicing planets within the Orion Arm of the Milky Way, TerraFirm provides the desiccated, toxified, irradiated or otherwise uninhabitable planets of this sector with a suite of services to rectify any environmental challenge. From geoformation to carbon extraction, desalination to biome rehabilitation, TerraFirm has a full range of services to return your planet to its naturally thriving, pre-apocalypse state. 

After a healthy planetary ecosystem is established we turn to the selective development of lifeforms.  The two previous phases of remediation have created a planetary weather system that allows for quantities of sunlight to penetrate the atmosphere and stimulate extant rudimentary organisms.  Cellular monoamine neurotransmitters within these organisms (such as serotonin and melatonin) react with incoming photons in a variety of ways.  Organisms that leverage these reactions to photosynthesize (plants) and bioregulate (animals) will be selected for and survive to pass on their genes.  Thus, over generations, organism-neurotransmitter interaction will increase and complexify, resulting in such high-level phenomena as the animal brain and its ability to react to endogenous (and exogenous) alkaloids that provide the chemical basis of consciousness.

Vytamin - Neurotransmission (TERRAFIRM 5)

For the first single from a 6-track EP from Montreal's Clarian (who is also one half of Footprintz), the Canadian reached well beyond the border to collaborate with Tel Aviv-born, Madrid-based producer Guy Gerber on "Claire." Gerber has been a major player on Israel's electronic scene since 2006, running his own Supplemental Facts label and infusing traces of minimal techno, tech house, downtempo and deep house in his productions, while remaining singular in his approach. Clarian's vocal contributions were at the heart of Gerber's progressive house-leaning Fabric mix from last year, which joined the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Omar-S of artists that turned in single-artist mixes to the series. "Claire" starts amid a queasy vocal snippet (with Clarian's French whisper lodged in at the midpoint) and threatens to go darker and deeper. But a steady handclap and glimmering melodic line uplifts and casts light across this seven-minute track.

French producer & DJ, Hyas is also the co-founder of the Bardouin Music imprint dedicated to acid sounds and just released a split EP with Sentiments on his famous Light On Earth label, he is definetely an artist to watch out and we are thrilled to welcome him for his first solo EP on vinyl.
