This is really impressive! A great version of the track, sadly a perfect description of the world of today.

This morning, it is raining. I am listening to this piece, it corresponds to my state of mind, my sad vision of this world. I love it (the track, not the chaotic world).

Mesmerizing and moody sonic journey through mysterious lands.

It's like shortwave radio, but with a melody.  I love it!

For me "Shade" is much about feeling lonely and keeping mental health problems for yourself. Afraid of the stigma it might bring.

A slow descent into dimness—where light still exists, but only as memory.
The piece unfolds like a shadow stretching across time, carried by deep, sustained tones and barely-there harmonics.
There is no climax. Only the gentle unraveling of something once certain.
What remains is a feeling: not absence, but the fading trace of presence. A mournful hush, suspended in sound.

Personal dark ambient approach to "Wonderful World", original L. Armstrong 1967 (remixed and extended version of an older VSS track). Wonderful Wasted World, Part 1

this came from the first drum take recorded in my new downsized studio. kids needed larger rooms and my partner, Monika Jean, moved in, so sacrifices had to be made. most of the drums are gone. what you hear on this track are odds and ends i could squeeze into a corner. floor tom as a kick, broken hi hat that wont open, etc etc. surprisingly i tend to enjoy frankenstein drum sets more than full ones. the whole "making something out of nothing" spirit tends to inspire me most. 

the soul is one

First there was a common funky beat for 2 minutes or so. Then there was a bass played during those 2 minutes in a complete improv mood. Then a nylon guitar came breaking time. Then a steel guitar came bending time. Then some djembes, shakers and seeds came defying the beat and eliminating it.

In the spirit of mixing traditional instruments with free jazz approach, a simple though "we are lost in time" emerges.
