Now one of the label’s most loved compilations, Future Fire is back for its eighth instalment. Celebrating the best lesser-known talent in the scene and giving a platform to future household names, Future Fire Vol. 8 features 6 brand new tracks hand-picked
by Viper head honcho Futurebound.

First up is brand new name to Viper, Eddie Don’t Sail with “Caught On You”. Featuring Romany on vocals, this luxurious record exudes calming and enticing energy right from the start. With an explosive drop and vibrant synths, “Caught On You” is a masterclass
in dancefloor drum & bass and a strong opener for Future Fire Vol. 8.

Next up, Lexed and Melic bring things back to the old school with a feral energy right from the start. Dark and raw, the aptly titled “Burn It Up” is set to light clubs on fire left and right.

Jrace and Albert White return to the series following on from their hit “Horizon” on Volume 7 of Future Fire, this time with “Can’t Stop”. An ominous tune full of enticing, mysterious vocals pulling the listener in with every beat, Jrace and Albert White together
create pure rave carnage designed with the underground in mind.

LOSS returns to Viper after his debut single “Devil in my Letters” earlier this year, this time alongside Chase Gibbons with “Odin”. A slow build up sets a menacing scene, with the warmth of Chase Gibbons’ vocals standing in stark contrast against the sinister
production of LOSS.

Touch Point’s “Corrupted” delivers a foreboding energy from the beginning, exploding into a dark, tech-y dancefloor drop that is classic Viper through and through. Equal parts danceable and disturbing, this murky record could have easily been made by Drum &
Bass’s most prolific talent.

Last but certainly not least, BRIGSY and Rhoue team up for “In My Head”, an energetic record full of emotion. The yearning vocals of Rhoue pair brilliantly with BRIGSY’s sharp production, delivering yet another future classic.

With six huge tracks from the scene’s best and brightest, Future Fire Vol. 8 is proof once again that there is no shortage of emerging talent in the game, and Viper are proud to give them each a spotlight. Stay tuned for more, only on Viper!

‘Staying Awake’ opens with an anthemic vocal reminiscent of La Roux then surges into life with crisp amen breaks a charging lead line and euphoric driving bass, channeling classic rave energy through a modern lens designed to lift the crowd higher with every drop.

'Dying Of The Light' dives into darker territory a sinister dancefloor dominating cut, laced with haunting spoken word textures and cinematic tension.

Amidst the flames of the palace that burned around him, the ronin longed for his memories of years past, in which the rule of his prior sovereign had been wise, benevolent, & just. A time before the ascension of the ruler's cousin following the chaotic succession of his death, a time in which the very thought of the course the ronin now pursued would have seemed surreptitious at best. Despite his own misgivings, the ronin had chosen to favor the honor of his familial oath in continued service to this new shogun. In time, he had hoped, the reality of ruling the grand realm left by his predecessor would help stir the new shogun from his avarice & cruelty.

Now, he stood solemn amidst the chaos of coup & revolution, reviling in the knowledge that time had not been his ally. Now wielding his blade in an oath all his own, he had taken up arms against those still loyal to his former master & broken his oath, rendering himself an outcast in the courts of all lords across the land. Yet he carried on, for on this path of flame and rebellion there burned one faint glimmer of hope for redemption. It would be he who would slay his former master and restore tranquility to the land once more. What judgment may fall upon his own shoulders past that point mattered not. Even if his own head should roll for the breaking of his oath, the lives of countless more would be spared from the tyrant for whom the palace now burned.

SCREAMARTS returns to EATBRAIN with UNRUHE featuring Scout 22, the latest work from the ronin producer who once more flourishes his masterful sonic artistry before the ears of the label’s faithful horde.

Receptor takes his final bow after 15 years of innovation in Drum & Bass, and Evolution Chamber is marking the moment with 'Receptoration',  a remix project celebrating his legacy.

The first release drops two heavyweights straight out the gate. Gydra fires off a ferocious take on 'Punks', merging neuro precision with jump-up energy. Then Neonlight step in to rework 'Parkour' with soaring melody, slick groove, and that unmistakable German flair.

A powerful start to a project that honours one of Drum & Bass’s most fearless producers. Receptor might be stepping away, but his sound will echo for years to come.
