Oof!! this track hits like silk over steel 🎯 That beat’s got real backbone, but the vocal just glides across it with a kind of breathy confidence I could swim in for hours 🌊 There’s a smoky retro cool tucked inside the groove, and that steady rhythm keeps it feeling grounded while everything else just floats. I love how it’s both relaxed and assertive, like it knows exactly what it's saying without needing to shout 💃🧃 The juice press clinked her glass and whispered, “This one’s been cold pressed with swagger, and I am sipping it slow” 🔥 The oven rumbled low and said, “You can’t rush flavor like this, it’s baked to perfection” 🧯 The fire extinguisher gave a little nod and said, “Didn’t need me, but I was impressed anyway” 💨 Such poise, such polish, I’m still vibing!

Love the latin percussion at the beginning and the harmonies at the chorus, great groove!

Third part of my father trilogy.
The father trilogy ends with my naïve and youthful attempt, at the age of 23, to break away from my father, who seemed overpowering at the time, and stand on my own two feet: 
To move as far away as possible from my provincial hometown, to throw myself into a Berlin that was completely foreign to me at the time and completely overwhelming. 
My saviour at the time was my oldest friend, who had already been living in Berlin for a few years and took me under his wing like a big brother.     
But even with his help, I soon had to realise that the attempt at a radical inner "patricide" could not succeed in any way. The early imprints he had left on me, the demons I had 'inherited' from him, were all still there. No matter how much I turned my outer life upside down, there was no escape from the central patterns and beliefs that I had learnt from my father in the first 10 years of my life.
In this respect, the song title "The Singular Man" is a "Mission Impossible". It was only three years later, and especially after his early death, that I realised more and more that a lifelong confrontation with my inner father images could lead to a closely linked dialectic:
An ever deeper and visibly more reconciliatory bond with my father and, at the same time, an ever-increasing self-realisation

The idea for this song came to me randomly while driving down some backroad a few years back, and I recorded the initial idea spur of the moment. For whatever reason, the rather morbid theme came out in the process and I just went with it. Nat is a daring soul and surprisingly encouraged that we record it and with her considerable help we fashioned this recording. Notable is that Nat has taken on the ability to add some beautiful pedal steel guitar throughout the song using her well established keyboard skills and this first run at it was very satisfying. Let us know what you think!
