Since 2015, Viennese producer Alpha Tracks has used Cheap’s Morbid offshoot as fertile ground for his own (as well as his peers’) work. His sound straddles the space between 90s rave and ambient, two defining genres of the era, with relative ease and irrespective of more recent ephemeral trends. CEM’s unique brand of emotive hysteria was forged in Herrensauna’s hedonistic Berlin furnace in the last few years, and as one of the party’s two core members, he has been at the heart of the operations since its inception. With the party attracting more and more attention for its critical contribution to Berlin’s queer community, as well as their raw italo-metal aesthetic, the opportunity came to move into Tresor, where it has cemented its place as a unique addition to Berlin’s nocturnal topography. CEM’s role in all this is twofold—firstly, as curator of the party’s unique mix of frenetic DJs and industrial-edged live performances; and secondly, as one of the resident DJs. The sheer pace of Herrensauna’s preferred grade of techno is offset by his enigmatic presence and selection. It’s a crucial edge of the party, and it’s rightfully brought CEM to the world’s attention.

MCMLXXXV is perhaps best known as a founding member of Herrensauna - the beloved queer party originating in Berlin - but the influence of his curational work resonates much further afield, encompassing the spheres of music, art and fashion with a sincere appreciation of subcultural movements and their associated aesthetics.
His DJ sets celebrate a countercultural approach to electronic music, drawing upon an intense, seductive fusion of charged rhythmic tension and obscure sonic imagery. With a comprehensive knowledge of genres ranging from EBM and electro to hard trance and industrial, his ability to weave seemingly disparate references together is the result of years spent dedicated to the underground, in all its grit and glamour.

Herrensauna reflects the need for a queer-led techno event in a city where underground and mainstream sit tensely alongside each other, and gentrification threatens the vast network of cultural spaces the city calls its own. Despite its name - a tongue-in-cheek reference to the clandestine culture of gay men’s saunas - it is the sense of community at the parties, which have now travelled the globe, that lend to their ever growing influence across the queer diaspora.

Nene H is one of the most exciting underground DJ’s in Europe. Based between Berlin and Copenhagen, she has a refined taste in groovy and highly energetic techno. Her love for old school rave keeps pushing her to evolve her repertoire that can make any dancefloor boil. She's skilled with her analogue gear and bold live sets, with her openness to other genres, courage for experimenting, taking risks and surprising the audience through her artistic projects while always keeping the focus on techno first.

Her journey has just started and has already seen her play some of the best clubs in the world such as Berghain where she debuted last year. Nene also has strong ties to the Copenhagen scene through her residency at one of the scenes most hyped parties, 'Endurance', and in Berlin where she is a resident at one of the cities best queer events, 'Tame'.

In 2019 she released her ‘Feast' EP on Intrepid Skin, a blistering four-track hard-hitting body music experience. She also took part in two compilation series 'Rotterdam' and 'Heldersmat' on Mord Records alongside many great artists. 

Coming from a classical music background she uses her theoretic skills and musical knowledge in her experimental projects, where she has played boundary-pushing live sets at the likes of CTM Festival and Berlin Atonal in 2018 and 2020. Her last solo project at Berlin Atonal, “Rau// Reue” was considered one of the most interesting performances and she recently premiered her latest project “Chela“ in collaboration with the national choir of Georgia, 'Ensemble Basiani', which took place in front of a sold-out-audience at CTM Berghain.
