Yesterday I already died today (Stönkfitzchen Version)

ENTARTUNG's Krypteia debut displayed a young black metal band with an old soul, breathing deep the spirit of ancient darkness. But with their second album, Peccata Mortalia, ENTARTUNG exhale a crypt-stench stronger than death. Indeed, Peccata Mortalia displays the duo in an even stronger (black)light, the songwriting both more assured and distinctive and the execution more vile and grim. Shadow-draped yet melodic, despite the band's Teutonic origins, ENTARTUNG forego the mystical/medieval vibe of their country's usual black metal style and, in fact, slot well alongside Finland's filthy and emotive idiom of the past decade. By any description, however, Peccata Mortalia is black metal traditionalism par excellence.

"Peccata Mortalia" is set for release as CD & LP on March 8th, 2014.

At long last, German black metal tyrants ASCENSION unveil their highly anticipated second album, The Dead of the World. The band's debut album, 2010's Consolamentum, became a classic in the underground not long after its release; it evinced a wealth of maturity in composition and execution for such a new band. Every part is where it needs to be; every song flows from the other; there is a whole, and it is a black HOLE. Enigmatic Occult Swedish union of CHALICE OF BLOOD is back with a first feature length release. After a classic 2005 demo and two brilliant splits (with ARKHA SVA and ISRATHOUM) comes a work of several years of occult growth and maturation. "Helig, Helig, Helig" appears as a violent and intense storm, with a fair share of obscure yet not overpowering melodies.
