This album points at how humankind is going into overdrive, how much it is thriving to go to faster and bigger extents every second. Nowadays, the most important thing is to yield increasingly, though we waste everything, food, water, and time. We could thrive on the creation of a real and strong bond between Men and Animals for instance. I really focus on two things in this album, those being the relation between mankind and its environment, and the relation with time. We want to control both spheres entirely. In spite of the fact that we can do everything faster than way back and have tremendously big cities, we keep on fearing nature and time. Nowadays, mankind doesn’t want to admit it’s nothing compared to space, time and nature on our planet. 
It is a major issue, and I show how much it will undergo a rough future, not because of pollution, but because of evil we always display to each other. We don’t give a damn about anything. Mankind is just something which can’t spread anything better than war, disease. It’s going fast, as we're being overwhelmed by our own nature.

February 2014 sees the two piece German monster MANTAR release their debut album on Svart Records. Recorded earlier in 2013 and titled "Death By Burning", the album is a raw, self produced and 100% DIY display of power. The half German, half Turkish band has existed for less than a year and released one limited run 7" - probably sold out by the time you read this.

MANTAR manages to sound even and heavier than most five piece bands you may know, in spite of the fact that no bass guitar was used on this record. Just drums and guitar set for destruction. Forget about Rock `n Roll. This will hurt. Flogging beats and blackened melodies meet feedback orgies and doom mayhem. Early Melvins, Motorhead, Darkthrone. You name it. Don`t call it sludge though. Everything as black as possible. A soundtrack for the final battle.

Svart Records will unleash the black 10 track attack on February 7th on CD, LP, tape and digital.

A work of intense and otherworldly black metal power injected with Mysticum’s strong cosmic, satanic and psychedelic overtones, ‘Planet Satan’ welcomes Mysticum to the new millennium with full & unrelenting force, whilst retaining the core elements which made the Norwegians pioneering legends of industrial black metal. 
Both infernal & nihilistic, as well as apocalyptic in its scope and execution, ‘Planet Satan’ is a new milestone for the genre in its sublime, chaotic ferocity. Primitive minor-chord riff patterns & tortured vocals mixed with the band’s manic and often unconventional programmed drum beats makes this an eerily hypnotic work of the darkest order.

The album was recorded & mixed at Fias Co. Studios with producer Sverre Dæhli, & mastered by Tom Kvålsvoll at Strype Audio in Oslo.

Emerging in the early 1990's, Mysticum brought to the world a completely unique brand of psychedelic discordant black metal with insane drum machine patterns & synths. They were originally (and briefly) signed to Euronymous' Deathlike Silence Productions label, such was his belief in the band.

They originally formed in 2007 but only when singer Linus Johansson joined in 2010, they were beginning to make headway as guitarist Andreas Johnsson explains: “Before Trial we all played in different bands and whatnot with each other, but since we were so young, I view those years as the period where we all learned how to play our instruments. Alexander Ellström was more or less the one who got me in to playing guitar, so we often sat together as kids with KISS posters on the wall and played covers until our parents bled from their ears…”

Dallas, Texas-based avant/tech death metal trio, BARING TEETH, is preparing for the long-awaited follow-up to their 2011 debut album, Atrophy, with the mangling Ghost Chorus Among Old Ruins confirmed to drop via Willowtip Records in late November.

Previously known as Soviet, BARING TEETH is an act formed by three musicians having collectively spent time playing in a plethora of acts including Cleric, Between The Buried And Me, Broadcast Sea and others. Following their initial demo, Willowtip signed the band for the 2011 release of their debut album, Atrophy. Ghost Chorus Among Old Ruins shows BARING TEETH sharpening its attack, the unsettled aggression of previous material heightened to a manic, primal belligerence. Immersive, hypnotic, and haunting, the album melds seemingly opposing characteristics — streamlined songwriting and dizzying technicality, ambience and brute force, density and angularity, order and chaos — into a fully realized, cohesive listening experience. Without sacrificing originality, the groundwork of Meshuggah and Gorguts gives in to modern and gritty dissonance where one may at times be reminded of everything from the technical intensity of The Dillinger Escape Plan and Flourishing, to the ominous realms of Deathspell Omega and Ulcerate. Comparative compliments aside, the band’s music continually applies and releases tension, while continually spiraling into a tension-infused amalgamation of chaotic but ultimately natural and captivating experimental death metal.

Recorded by Alex Bhore (This Will Destroy You) at Elmwood Recording, mixed by Keith Souza and Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets (The Body, Battles, Daughters), and mastered by Alan Douches (The Dillinger Escape Plan, Converge, Swans), Ghost Chorus Among Old Ruins takes the extremes of BARING TEETH’s debut to new levels while showcasing a singular vision: no compromise, no respite.

Kosmos is a project which reveals, in a black metal way, the human horror, as egocentric as it can be, and the balance of power it threatens all the time. 
Kosmos suggests to know the Truth, to touch reality, even if it would burn himself. 
Kosmos is a black art, a wound which will never close.

The first album called “from innocence to perversity” is an atmospheric and tortured black metal which brings the listener to the blackest part of middle ages. This story deals with black facts for our epoch too.

Indeed, this opus deals with a man who has been saved from cold and hunger by a priest. 
Once saved from death, this man grew up among priests in a very closed middle. He learnt faith through
Books and oral teaching. But this learning made him insane, he became cruel.

Over the years he was meant to teach to children what he learnt. But atrocities began, the rapist within woke up. This is the link with books, with cross, which made him so cruel. He thought he was powerful.

During the burial, a lot of priests came to pay tribute to him, to sing the praises of him, a disgusting assessement, when religion is said as holy. Nothing is dirtier than it.

As for atmospheres, music makes think of Blut Aus Nord, Verdunkeln and Urfaust a little. We also can 
Find a Mutiilation touch in some riff. 
Melody is in close contact with dissonance, that’s why we can name Funeral Mist, Aosoth, and sometimes Shining in some track. Kosmos is a mix between all these bands.
