This release is a two track single which consists of two songs: HoneyLemon and Arcade. HoneyLemon serves as the main core song of the single whilst Arcade serves as the secondary song.

“The origin of HoneyLemon was born when I suffered a severe cold and had to take Lemsips regularly every once in a while.  Fortunately, the idea hit me instantly. An idea of creating a message with a metaphorical, lyrical and ambiguous meaning of the two sweetest things. Of course, it’s supposed to be a love song. Mainly, the whole song is supposed to sound very sweet to listen to. “ 

“Before I wrote my other song, Arcade, I looked back at my youth growing up and going to one of the places that any other kid loves to go to to forget their troubles. The word “trouble” then inspired me to write a song about escapism with nostalgic lyricism accompanied by a dreamy instrumental. For this particular song, I wanted to stay true to the independent side of indie pop and dream pop.” 

“As a musician in my early roots sharing my music to others, I’m quite unsure where my future would lead me into. But I do really hope to make more music and share my own passion and artistry whilst telling the story of my own personal journey.”

Joseph Littlewood is a solo indie artist/producer based from East Anglia. Whilst he grew up with an immense passion for music, Joseph started listening to alternative songs until he then transferred into listening to indie genres. Joseph fully immersed and adapted both himself and his ideas to the creative side of the musical world whilst wanting to create his own style of music through indie pop.

While he was discovering his creativity during his teenage years, he drew huge inspiration from artists such as The Killers, Cocteau Twins, Declan McKenna, Tame Impala, Beach House, Holly Humberstone and Bat For Lashes. Thus as a result, has a huge impact on him and his music. Usually, he enjoys listening to mostly music from independent/non-independent artists like beabadoobee, Yot Club, Oberhofer, Hatchie, JW Francis and L'Impératrice.

In his point of view as a musician, Joseph describes his own artistry to be merged with other genres such as Indie Rock and Dream-pop. His music happens to sound “jangly” whilst he conveys those particular feelings of nostalgia and liminality to his music. After the release of his first single, Honey Lemon, Joseph then sets the motion on being an artist, wanting to inspire others with his own talent and wanting to stay true to the genres of indie music, whilst he pursues on studying music production. Although he's at his early roots on being an artist, he is confident to thrive as an aspiring musician.
