To be a successful house music producer, you have to make tracks that DJs want to play. And, to be a good DJ, you have to play music that inspires people to move their asses. In his role as Music Supervisor for “Unconscious Therapy,” a documentary released in April 2016 that chronicles the rise and evolution of house music via the lens of Frankie Knuckles and his fellow innovators, Callerio took on the crucial responsibility of​ ​ licensing and curating the film’s soundtrack.​ ​ He is also a featured artist in the documentary, alongside Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Masters at Work and a bevy of other house icons.   

Possessed of an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to embrace change, Callerio has earned and enjoyed enduring success as both an artist and label-owner. Los Angeles-based Dufflebag Recordings, which Callerio launched in 1998, has been churning out deep and funky grooves suffused with soulful vocals since its inception, and the label boasts an impressive roster of artists that includes Demarkus Lewis, Manjane, Alysha Kid, Corduroy Mavericks, JT Donaldson, Natural Rhythm, Ryan Truman and R&B legend Jon B. under his moniker Jah Ques.

Que faites-vous de votre temps libre ?
Eh bien, après mon travail de jour, je rentre le plus souvent à la maison, m'assoir, me détendre et profiter d'un moment pour soi, à soi… Puis selon l’envie, j'allume le son, internet ou autre… Tranquille. J'aime aussi sortir ‘parfois’ restau, pub, ciné, concert en tout genre, club…  Il m’arrive aussi de recevoir mes potes légèrement intoxiqués de whisky et de bières comme moi… Mais bien sûr, comme n'importe quel autre DJ, beaucoup de mon temps est consacré à cette quête sans fin d'une bonne nouvelle musique. HD

What do you do in your free time?
Well, after my day job, I come home most often, sit down, relax and enjoy a moment for myself ... Then according to the desire... I turn on the sound, internet or other ... Cool. I also like going out 'by faith' eatery, pub, cinema, concert of all kinds, club ... I also happen to receive my friends slightly intoxicated with whiskey and beer like me ... But of course, like any what other DJ, a lot of my time is spent on this endless quest for good new music. HD

Bueno, después de mi trabajo diario, llego a casa con mayor frecuencia, me siento, me relajo y disfruto un momento para mí, para mí ... Luego, según el deseo, enciendo el sonido, internet o otro ... tranquilo. También me gusta salir a veces a restaurantes, pubs, cines, conciertos de todo tipo, clubes ...
