Owl is a Belgian electronic music producer having started producing under the alias @glyphdnb with his friend @the_clearlight. First spotted on @nordlabel, then more recently on @silent-season, @relationreset, @lowless-music and @huinalidub, Owl's aptitude for creating subtle, lush sonic journeys keeps expanding and his last releases should further cement his reputation. From autonomic dnb, deep techno to a dreamy & melancholy ambient journey, his discography is in perpetual evolution. Owl has quietly been rising through the ranks of a genre-bending leftfield sound where sonic depth and expressiveness prevail.

We are cranking the volume to 11 and beyond this week, as we present the most rockin' set on Sound + Vision to date, including Goth Rockers Sirens Of Light take on Led Zeppelin's 'In the Evening', a KMFDM Now and Then segment, with the "Now" being another selection from their forthcoming album, "Let Go", a track from Stabbing Westward's strong 2022 comeback release, "Chasing Ghosts" and a great rocker from Bellhead's "Good Intentions"!!

We are also featuring some of the best new and recent soundscapes from the ambient spacemusic realm, including a selection from the second great release of 2024 from Cyclical Dreams, "Electric Fabric" by Sacred Seeds, a piece from the new live reunion recording from Steve Roach and Robert Rich titled "Waves of Now", and selections from two recent Spotted Peccary Music releases: Hollan Holmes brilliant new recording "Sacred Places" as well a piece from one of our favorite recordings of 2023, "Cup" from AeTopus!

Last year, we had the pleasure of seeing Dérive perform a stunning ambient DJ set in the early hours of the morning at a Muzan Editions x Astral Industries event. Listening to this mix has been a really special way of revisiting that moment <3

Atlantea Series Vol. 2 Mixed By Sacred Seeds

The Live/DJ hybrid set by Keep in Touch took place at Pitanga cultural center, Auroville on the 15th September 2024 for the occasion of Onam festival (harvest celebration in Kerala) and their first album digital release.

Keep in Touch is a newly formed sound artist duo that consists of a Japanese artist Atomic Phantom (aka Jyoti Naoki Eri) and an artist called Sacred Seeds (aka Wasim Raja) from Kerala, India.

Although they are coming from very different backgrounds their devotion to ambient music is profound and their approaches to music creation have close resonance. Sacred Seeds was featured in Nādāsana's second ambient compilation in 2023. This collaboration led them to form Keep in Touch this year.

The ambient sound system that was used for this performance was designed and created in Studio Eri, Auroville.

Keep in Touch - Live at Pitanga - Auroville /15/09/2024

Keep in Touch is an ambient/soundscape duo created through a creative exchange by Kerala (India) based producer/DJ Sacred Seeds and Auroville (Tamil Nadu) based Japanese artist Jyoti Naoki Eri also known as Atomic phantom. Atomic Phantom is an ambient music producer, as well as the founder of the recently established ambient/soundscape music label Nādāsana.

Their first collaborative album, titled “Children in the Mirror”, is based on their inner reflection of listening experiences in ambient music as well an homage to the legacy of this unique yet important genre of music.

Although ambient and soundscapes are still considered minor in the Indian subcontinent, there is an increasing interests since the time of Covid lockdown. “Lockdown” was most probably the need of the time to slowdown and look within for an integral growth of a global human society. As its nature ambient music is a medium to bridge the space within and without, spirit and matter, it can contribute a lot to this journey.
