Founded in 2020 Future Avenue is an electronic music imprint which operates under the Sound Avenue umbrella. Sitting alongside fellow subdivisions 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds, Future Avenue looks to provide a home for new and rising talent. With an ethos centred around progressive music and its surrounding derivatives, the label is a platform which gives up and coming artists a chance to showcase their music alongside established veterans as they carve out their own musical identity.

Doctors On Decks released their first studio-album and prominent names from different genres are involved: Chris #2 from Anti-Flag, Anna Heimrath, Nhoah and Tube&Berger.
Two EPs have already been released, the singles "Now" and "The Fog" have been heard in charts, clubs, events and radio stations worldwide.

THE MINUS is a concept album in the tradition of Pink Floyd's "The Wall". Not only musical parallels suggest themselves, also in terms of content it is a critique of the world we live in today.
The album is based on a sci-fi story about a mysterious black hole in the middle of a megacity - and its effects on society. It is an epic tale of being human on the crossroads of change. It takes a look at what constitutes being human, the fight for it and what developments may look like. Great philosophical and timeless themes packed into a microcosm of four ruling companies. Currently relevant topics of our time now thought a little further into the future.

There are allegories, symbols and metaphors about the pandemic, refugees, increasing social injustice, powerful corporations, and the glorification of CEOs like Elon Musk or Steve Jobs. The track "NOW", for example, is a statement about capitalism and the epidemic spread of pharmaceutical drug abuse. But of course hope and salvation can't be missing. "The Fog" and "Rules & Rebels" (with singer Anna Heimrath) tell love stories, "The Rats" is a co-production with singer Chris #2 from the punk band Anti-Flag, in which the revolution that our world so desperately needs is instigated.

The mesmerising falsetto vocals of Severin Su run like a thread through the album. It is a driving melodic techno opera with influences of artrock, punk, pop and classical music.

For Doctors On Decks, the visual component is also crucial to the overall work of art. Audio and video are usually created in parallel, one influencing the other. In their live shows, the guest singers from the album enter the stage via the big screen. „What you hear is what you see" is one of the Doctors' maxims.
It is the alchemy of sound + vision, that happens when an award-winning architect and designer, a full-blooded musician, a singer and electro-wunderkind, and an author and filmmaker working on international film projects, come together as Doctors On Decks to create something new and exciting.

Some time ago we had a utopian vision that seemed impossible in an increasingly saturated market where the music business was taking the strength and direction where many artists were betraying their talent to sell more records and become popular.

Back then, two enthusiasts from their little corner in Paris decided to create a record label to give some positive air to all the pollution and toxicity we were living, a label where we could all contribute in a positive way to help children in the poorest regions of the world.

Who are you? Thanks but no thanks, we often heard, but over time the idea became a reality and with the help of many artists who without asking for anything in return did not hesitate for even a second to be part of this project Lost on You was born and that vision became our mission.

Today, after 5 years of foundation the effort of all led us to build a school in Sierra Leone where 207 children study happily since September 2021 in 6 well-equipped classrooms, with teachers well-trained by our organization and collaborators. Going a step further for this year 2023 we will open two new schools in Liberia in partnership with SoundCloud, but none of this would be possible without all the people involved in our project, from the artists to the media who help us without asking anything in return. This release is a tribute to all of them, a selection of our favorite tracks during these 5 years, for you and for all those who are still faithfully by our side.

To all of you, we can only say: Thank you.

We are delighted to welcome back German duo Add-Us with their brand-new 'Phases EP'. The talented duo has been a well-known entity within the scene and have graced some of the world's finest electronic music labels with their unique and lasting productions. The duo developed an inimitable style of music, full of ambiances, paired with despondent and warm dreamy patterns that guided them to where they are to today and embodies the sound they now personify. People regularly equate their productions as remarkable and flamboyant in equal measures. 
 
On their return the duo leads with the outstanding opening track 'Phases'; a stunning driving melodic techno affair. The track utilizes a deep groove as foundation, underpinned by a profound bass and smooth synth chords that gradually ease their way to the summit. Unified by a relentless kick drum and dusky atmospheric emotion, the composition climaxes by adding recurrent percussive elements and soft soaked melodies that come together to create a structured sphere of sonic satisfaction. Clever synth phrases complete the picture to create an ingeniously worked piece of art.

The melodic soundscapes of the accompanying title track 'Light the Way' rounds off this spectacular release. Add-Us' influences are immediately evident as subtle freeform concepts drift through percussive inspired instrumentations. Rippling melodies trip along a deep kick that anchors an auricular montage to create a special sonic infused moment, complemented by a subtle groove that is going to leave a mark on your aural perception. Stunningly textured pads that warm the soul and a strong melodic infused bassline provide the base for this inspired piece to play out in delayed glory. Essential stuff!

With Add-Us' return to ICONYC, they take their talents a step further by dropping this brilliant underground 2 track crowd pleaser. 'Phases' is certain to find its way into the playlists of the big-boys brigade. Another essential ICONYC release from the heart, for the dance loving soul.
