I've mixed some new music for you from artists like Artefakt, Forest Drive West, Lockertmatik, Art Alfie, Patrick Siech and more, and additionally we have a very special guest mix from Tokyo's clandestine techno super talent, DJ Sodeyama (трип, Arpa). He is best known for being a mainstay at Japan's infamous Womb Club, as well as releasing on Nina Kraviz's трип label and his own label, Arpa, amongst many other great projects. He is a master selector,  I really love the music in this show -  I hope you enjoy it!

Mark Farina (born March 25, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois, USA) is a disc jockey and musician, known for his Chicago house, acid jazz and downtempo works. Notable releases include Mood (KMS Records, 1989) and the Mushroom Jazz series (Om Records, 1996–2011), and recently known also from house compilations El Divinio. He is primarily identified with the house music scene in San Francisco, California. Farina resides in Dallas, Texas, but DJs widely around the world.

Drumcode has become a label synonymous with some of the most-cutting edge and forward-thinking techno over the last 20 years. Their artists include both emerging and established names, and one of those well recognised is Enrico Sangiuliano. Now announcing the very first concept album of his career.

The prolific Italian producer has been catapulted into the limelight after the runaway success of his past releases, and now Biomorph is born.

A very special concept album designed to take the listener on a journey of evolution. A musical adaptation describing how biological and technological advances over numerous generations of time have all started from the same first step in our own biological journey.

Divided into 4 parts, Organisms opens with atmospheric tones, gradually blending complex textures and timbres to begin the evolutional process. The beginning of this section combines full sounding arrangements before stripping it all back to basics. From here it dissolves into the atmosphere. Organisms then progresses into a break-beat influenced, down tempo track using synths to add complexity to the straight, broken rhythms.

Galactic, futuristic elements are found in both tracks in Cosmic Forces. Upbeat, groovy, electronic synths resonate, before ‘Hidden T’ brings the tension to get things pumped up with stratospheric swirls and twirls to lay down one of the most mind meltingly deep drops.

Metamorphosis is mysterious, its opening beat is a deep and piercing tone that sends the listener into a sensory awareness of their surroundings before breaking into a fully charged, techno track, with Enrico’s trademark sounds and textures.

All evolution has an ending.

Two Probabilities shows the positive, starting out evocative and emotional, with a gentle harmony, gazing towards a ‘New Dawn’. On the other side of the spectrum lies the negative. This is influenced with a rhythm that articulates the beat of death, mathematical, cold and metallic in texture, it shows the unsustainability of its nature, with a hectic, anxious break beat influenced ending.

The digital version also features a bonus track; 'A Further Existence'.

Diynamic Radio Show June 2018 by HOSH

DVS1 came up as a raver in the Midwest, throwing techno parties for over 20 years and getting up to mischief, often next to huge stacks of speakers that still influence him to this day. He is now well-established as a vital DJ and resident at Berghain and Panorama Bar. 

This mix is something special and a side of DVS1 normally not heard or recorded! A true digger and passionate record collector running the eclectic Mistress Recordings and the more pure techno label HUSH. Here he crosses into house territory for a special dekmantel mix. 

Of the podcast we have here, he says, “This mix is two hours of a four hour rare “house” set recorded LIVE in Sept 2017 at an undisclosed location. I make it a point not to release many mixes and while most people know and follow me for my techno sets, this mix is for those who dig a little deeper and appreciate it all… Enjoy!" There is still a real sense of pace to the mix as it glides effortlessly though flurries of percussion into vocal numbers, cosmic curveballs and piano laced anthems. It’s a fascinating insight into a whole other side of one of techno’s foremost talents.

This week´s #AMFM 174 is the first part of my opening set at the @wet open air festival in Gärtringen near Stuttgart end of June. The venue is a beautiful public open air swimming pool and due to the fact that I had to travel to the south of England on the same day, I did the early opening shift. The doors opened at 10 in the morning and by the time I started playing at 11:30, the dance floor was just about to get a little busier, so I was able to play a bit more of “opening” techno. And if you have been following this show for a while, you know that I like to do this wherever I can. This time was no different. I loved every minute of it and would have gone on for longer if I wouldn´t have had to leave at some point. The dance floor was packed and happening already half way through my set and so I was able to take it up a notch in the second hour. Fantastic weather, amazing people, great venue and sound… what more can you wish for. Hope you enjoy that little journey.
