Damascus

She was looking for that special someone, he was looking for a cheap night of fun.
That’s how they ended up together at the Dew Drop Inn.
A roll of quarters, a jukebox, and a bottle of gin.
He played all the songs by Blake, Luke and Brad. 
She sang along, and she was singing, oh, so bad.
He didn’t care how bad she sang, he kept her drinking till dawn.
A cheap motel, a rendezvous, and her soldier was gone.

Two months later, she’s thinking,”What can I do?”
“He’s been deployed, I’m sitting here, red, white and due.”
Can’t tell her daddy, he would hold her to blame.
She’s not sure she can remember his name.
Lost and alone, crying in the park, she has no clue.
No cash, no hope, just red, white and due.

INSTRUMENTAL

Her daddy took it hard, he kicked her out the door.

Here is our moon for June, the Strawberry Moon.  I actually haven't a clue which genre it is.... but I really do like the way @APi_ZZ put the music to my words.

Strawberry Moon

The woodchip, old atari, moths.

The lemon curd, a kerb, sunny spots. 
A chip on my shoulder.
I can not list what I've forgot.
