Chicago-based artist Sherm has never stopped his relentless pursuit to create and influence since his start in 2014. His artistry and passion has given him global recognition for his accomplishments in the music industry as a DJ, Producer, A&R and Podcast Host. 

Sherm's undeniable ability to entertain is what sets him apart. He has a 360 degree skillset including performing in front of thousands at festivals, producing memorable dance music, hosting live podcasts, signing chart-topping tracks, and moderating engaging panels. 

As a DJ, Sherm has performed in major markets including San Francisco, Denver, San Diego, NYC, and Miami. Sherm has supported artists like Armin Van Buuren, Galantis, John Summit, Matroda, ACRAZE, Lost Kings, Gorgon City, Cash Cash, Shiba San, Bijou, and Walker and Royce. He has also performed at festivals including North Coast, Volleywood, Home Bass, and Amsterdam Dance Event. 

Sherm also acts as A&R for Hood Politics Records, where he has had massive influence on the label’s identity and future trajectory. The San Diego-based record label founded by DJ Susan has signed artists such as John Summit, Franky Wah, Chapter & Verse, Max Styler, Wenzday, Cloverdale, Return of the Jaded, and Jake Shore. 

With 200+ episodes released to date, his podcast Sherm In The Booth has featured global touring acts including CID, Westend, Autograf, Honeyluv, Roland Clark, Parker Cohen, LA Riots, Masteria and many more. 

With Sherm's influence growing in so many aspects of the music industry, it's clear that he is just getting started.

I first started DJing at 14, during high school in Calgary, Canada, and that’s when White Light was born. At first, it was just a name I thought sounded cool, but over the years, it’s grown into something far more meaningful. As I began producing my own music, I realized that 'White Light' represents everything — an energy, a connection, a journey — and it’s my way of connecting to my audience through sound.

My introduction to electronic music came at a young age, shaped by the 80s funk, disco, and early electronica my parents played around the house. These sounds continue to shape my music today. White Light is my expression of my passion for music, art, and design — a manifestation of how I want to connect with you, not just through music but through a visual experience.

Music is everything to me, and I’m truly blessed to share that light with you. I hope my art can inspire, uplift, and take you to places only music can reach.
