Producer and craftsman of sound, Chlär shines through his unconventional approach to techno. With the use of scientific and meticulous methods, he continues to fine tune the progress of his search for increasingly organic, pounding grooves and soundscapes to create simple and subtle elements that embody effective, energetic and highly infectious pieces of music. Now at ease with the production of many genres : from straight forward techno, nostalgic trancy sounds, electro-break-your-neck beats, to old-school stomping grooves, Chlär successfully demonstrated his skills by releasing a wide range of ‘’futuristic bangers’’.

Swedish born SPFDJ is a renegade spirit and ruthless DJ. She describes her own style as "trashy" and has said before that she disregards anything that might sound happy. To that end, she brashly bangs together techno, EBM, acid, industrial and trance in provocative and confrontational ways. She does so at her residency at Berlin's Herrensauna and also runs her own Intrepid Skin label, both of which are defined by big, banging kick drums.  

And so is this mix. 75 minutes of blistering textures, serrated synths and hammering drums that make for an impenetrable wall of ever evolving sound. As unrelentingly forceful as it is, monotony stays at bay thanks to the quick mixing and variation in mood, from marching and militant to acid and electric. Strap in, hold tight, and prepare for the ride of your life.

This Mix is a journey through a lot of unreleased music from Fjaak’s label mates and Fjaak themselves.

Techno, Rave, Breaks, Electro and Ambient: it's a journey through multiple genres and moods.

The mix mostly consists of upcoming tracks. But you can also find some tracks in there that might never be released and are exclusively released in this mix.

The A/V 002 first will be streamed simultaneously at 20h CET on both our YouTube Channel and Facebook Page at Friday, 1st of May 2020. The week after the audio recording will also be available on our SoundCloud profile.

For the second episode, the visual part of A/V will be prepared by Julius Winckler / Framework Visuals. Media artist from Berlin and part of the Spandau20 crew. Almost all of the footage in this video was shot at his home studio during self-isolation.

Tipped as being one of Rotterdam’s best kept secrets in Techno, dj/producer ‘stranger’ moves in mysterious ways and has quickly proven to be one to watch. His first musical appearance in 2014 was quickly picked up by established names as Dave Clarke, Sven Vath and Marcel Dettmann, giving his career aswell as his own Self Reflektion label a major kick-start. While remaining in the background pushing forward talented artists and working on various projects such as the highly anticipated Paling Trax label, his dj-career is on the rise. His name can be found on the line-ups of some of the biggest clubs and events in techno such as Awakenings, Tresor and many others. This is not your average ‘unknown artist’…
