‘Revving’ is Desinformant’s first full length EP release on Rotterdam (via London) label Feed The Void. It sees a merging of Pedro Braga’s Electro, Bass and Ghettotech influences. Title track ‘Revving’ is a half time Bass track, which switches the traditional breakbeat focus of snare drums with claps. The simple but incredibly meaty bass line packs some extreme power throughout, making it the perfect taste of what’s to come for the rest of the EP. ‘Engage’ cleverly switches between half time heavy duty Bass music and full time Electro inspired Breakbeat. ‘The Perennial Question’ is a collaboration track between Desinformant and fellow Naarm based producer Hedchef; a structurally intelligent percussive track that still packs plenty of punch. EP closer ‘Flashbacks’ is the most Ghettotech inspired track of the whole EP with the vocal being pushed to the front, a driving resonate bass-line and percussive fills. ‘Revving’ is the perfect peak time bass music offering and a brilliant first release of 2024 for Feed The Void.

The Why people dance question was asked for the first time in Lithuania back in 2013 but it gained a worldwide echo in its 8 years of existence. Run by @pauliuskamblevicius with the help of @experimentsserial and a network of collaborators, the online electronic music platform and label keeps its heart open for new friends and treasure finds but its filter tight and deep underground. UK born, Netherlands based artist Birds is a bit of a legend both in front of and behind the scenes of the music industry. With almost 15 years experience behind the decks, an eclectic record collection and an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of music, she also has a history of playing in guitar bands and has been an active part of the nightlife community for all of her adult life both in London and throughout the Netherlands, particularly in her current home of Rotterdam. 

She’s carved out a name for herself curating, managing and producing events at some of the countries’ finest venues and festivals already during the first two years of her life in The Netherlands, with her own record label Feed The Void also gathering support from world famous DJs throughout its (less than) 3 year existence. 

Her own music incorporates her diverse tastes with punky vocal led Acid Techno and Electro at the forefront and has released on labels such as Absorb Emit, Samo, Freeride Millennium, Ombra International, Höga Nord and more. Over the years she’s played everywhere from Melbourne, to Mexico City, to Zagreb as well as regularly at her home bases of The UK and The Netherlands, sharing line-ups with artists such as Boys Noize, Pablo Bozzi, Mad Miran, Alberta Balsam, Perel, Zohar, Annie Hall and more, whilst her tracks have had the remix treatment from the likes of Poly Chain, Ben Pest and Jerome Hill. 

As well as guest mixing and performing live regularly for the platforms such as Rinse FM, Operator, Future Intel and Balamii, she’s also been a part of the original Netil Radio show residents, playing herself every month and also curating a series of guests for her show for the last seven years.
