74 Miles Away is a collaboration between Jazz pianist Pierre Anckaert and beatmakers MonkeyRobot. After releasing their first album on Melting Pot Music, the trio recorded this track for Lefto's show live at Studio Brussel… and we couldn't resist including it on the LDBK compilation tracklist.

With a well-received debut album under their belt and notable song placements in shows such as Ray Donovan on Showtime,   The Mighty Sceptres drop a new 7in single featuring Kenny Dope’s extended mix of “Shy As A Butterfly”, previously only available as a bonus on their digital album. With collectors, record shops, and fans alike clamoring for a vinyl version, the 7in was hands down the preferred format of choice. A week ago I downloaded fLako's beattape 'Leftovers' with tracks he produced in 2008 and I felt so inspired by what I heard I managed to write four songs in like an hour. So I decided to do 'Quattro'. 

I call it an EP but it's more like just one 8-minute song, an illustrated journey into the wild in four parts, combined with mixed sounds I was hearing at that time, both from close surroundings and in my imagination. 

Quattro means 'four' in Italian, and all of the four songs are recorded in my home during the past week.

Will Sessions have established themselves as one of Detroit’s must-see live bands, with a varied musical output that reflects their city’s roots.

After cutting their teeth as the house band at the infamous Motor City Funk Night parties, the band went on to release a series of singles on the FNR label, as well as LPs like the instant-classic Elmatic, Kindred, and Mixtakes video/album series.

In addition to their own work, the group is known for collaborations with the likes of Amp Fiddler, Mayer Hawthorne, Slum Village, Elzhi, Black Milk, Phat Kat, Guilty Simpson, Eminem and Slaughter House, KRS-One, Danny Brown, DJ Dez/Andrez, Jeremy Ellis, Wendell Harrison, Toots & the Maytals, and Griz.
