Recently, we've concluded a YP conference here in our country, and I've had a few words that have kept resonating within me these past few days: LIFE and ABIDING.

The messages that were released were very refreshing! It was about how we all need to remember how we desperately need to abide in the Vine. We are nothing but branches, and that is such a restful thought for me! Being a branch means you rely entirely on the vine--keeping yourself open to the supply by coming to the Word in a diligent way.

So what made me share this hymn? This is yet another hymn that I've learned from my mother many years ago, but it seems that this hymn has become more real to me these days. Look at what the Lord can be to us when we are with Him moment by moment! We are kept in His sight, under His care, thinking and abiding with us! A mutual abiding!

I was greatly reminded by this, saints. Lately, I've been so caught up with my secular job that I've compromised, little by little, my time and openness with the Vine until there was no time given anymore. Because of such negligence, I fell into a deep and extensive insulation from the Lord and also lost the will to return; all these just because I didn't mind losing my time with the Lord little by little each day. Those little compromises lead to greater compromises. This is no longer a doctrine to me. It's true. Hence, the abiding must continue. While working or while at rest, the abiding goes on. Moment by moment.

May the Lord water you in ways He sees necessary! Stay attached! Never be shaken, my fellow branches! The supply is rich!
