Five Ambrosian Hymns are settings of 4th century hymns by St. Ambrose of Milan by composer William Campbell. They were commissioned by Dr. Richard Geiger for the Academy of St. Ambrose of Milan. This recording is from the 2017 tour of Italy and Austria by the St. Ambrose University Chamber Choir directed by Dr. Nathan Windt.

A quiet dawn chorus in the Mojave Desert National Preserve.  Recorded on March 30, 2018.  Vegetation was just starting to green up, following recent rains after a very dry winter.  I think the birds were just starting their breeding activity, as I saw none carrying nesting material or food to their young.  Recording features cactus wrens, phainopepla, Gambel's quail, song sparrows, black-throated sparrow, and maybe white-crowned sparrows.
