4 Layers of Tangible Waves AE Modular recordings, no FX or processing but those from the modules itself. No claim to be a musical masterpiece … but not so bad either!

Blasphemous Frequencies Pt.1 (AE Modular)

Multitrack recording of 3 Tracks Tangible Waves AE modular (mostly S&H gimmicks) and 1 Track Soma Lyra 8. Some VST FX (EQ, Protoverb).

Blasphemous Frequencies Pt.2 (AE Modular)

My Tangible Waves AE modular played live with some crazy patch. Additional LFOing via 4I/O from two moog mothers (it works).

Maybe a little atonal, but after repeated listening it becomes somehow magical, to me, at least.

Mostly internal effects, my beloved Lofi-Delay and the interesting "Glitch Delay" from the MultiFX module (in row). Some additional compression, EQing, reverb blending slowly in after around 20 seconds.

Blasphemous Frequencies Pt.3 (AE modular)

A cheap battery-driven theremin I once bought on ebay, send via 4I/O into the AE modular.

The Signal went thru Wasp filter and Wavefolder, LoFi-Delay and MultiFX Shimmer, all of them controlled by different LFOs. So you mainly hear the FX section of the AE modular.

The result was slightly paulstretched (for a pad feeling) and mixed with the original with some additional VST FX, mostly Valhalla FreqEcho and OrilRiver Reverb.

Blasphemous Frequencies Pt.4  (Theremin + AE modular)

My self-built metal noisebox, the Krakenphone, sent via 4I/O and 2Signalamp into the AE modular. The audio signal went on different routes thru the modules to the mixer. Different sound have been recorded in separate takes with different settings and put together with Reaper to build this beethovenish dramaturgy …

Because no external, additional FX has been added, you mainly hear the LoFi-Delay and the MultiFX module of the AE modular (sometimes the Wasp is LFOing in, and the Nyle Module is filtering some noise from the LofiDelay, but no VST FX, no mixer FX).

Snow Walk (disquiet0474) with Analoc and halF unusuaL

Abstract Counterpoint Improvisation (disquiet0474)
Getting together through music,  in times of isolation...
I recorded here (France)upright bass over the duet by Chris Ledwidge (Ireland): piano and Michael Ash Sharbaugh (USA) synthesizers. 

I improvised over the original track twice, first take was a disaster, second was slightly better but still I couldn’t figure out what the piano was doing so my notes are bad and my timing is also bad.
 I mean, I'm following the sort of pulse but I'm not playing in the right spots, I'm afraid...


So, to save the thing from the trash lid I decided to label my ramblingness as an “abstract impro”, a tag that can excuse or justify many “out of focus” things. I added another thing that I use to bury sloppy things and pretend they are avant-garde brilliant statements: Valhalla Supermassive.
And I did a very creative use of the Delete button

Police Action - disquiet0474

Disquiet Junto Project 0474 – Complete a trio by adding a track to an existing duet by two other musicians.

How do I start? Singing is always dangerous, if you are not a singer… No… okay, this way: Some children can only be loved by their parents… one must stand by one's misdeeds … my microphone was broken … the true beauty of music is that it connects us, yes, this is it! 

I startet with the playlist https://soundcloud.com/disquiet/sets/disquiet-junto-project-0473 and went to "around the middle of it" and started listening until I found something I liked: https://soundcloud.com/disquiet/sets/disquiet-junto-project-0473 by https://soundcloud.com/daniel-diaz (guitar) and https://soundcloud.com/ray_cobley (synth). The strange mixture felt right and asked for some voice.

So I improvised with the text given by the titles (and some extra text). I did two takes. I added as much plugins as possible to hide the fact that I can't sing. As you can hear: Neither can I sing, nor am I able to hide it with production gimmicks.

Anyway, after slicing my vocals I somehow liked it. Yes, you will have to listen to it 20 times, drinking some high octane booze, but then you will discover the hidden beauty of this track. Thanks, guys, I really had a lot of fun with this!
