Following up releases via SlothBoogie, Happiness Therapy and Inhale Exhale, the Vancouver-based talent serves up a trio of classy house cuts spanning the spectrum while also delivering a lively, bustling future-focused electro effort to wrap things up with authority.

Prepare for an immersive sonic experience as Scottish techno DJ/producer CJW unveils his latest EP, Crates, on 28 August 2025 via Wirelab Records (WRLB057). This two-track release isnt just a collection of tunes; its a journey through meticulously crafted dub-infused soundscapes. CJW masterfully blends deep house, dub techno, and minimal elements, creating a hypnotic and emotive listening experience that nods to classic dub aesthetics while pushing into contemporary club territory. Opening cut 23rd Dub Preset sets a mesmerising tone with a deep, resonant bassline, tape-echo textures, and finely sculpted chord stabs drifting through the stereo field. The groove is understated yet relentless, its swing and percussive detail revealing CJWs evolved production prowess and ear for negative space. On the flip, Dub A Rub turns the screws with a more driving and tactile low end, layering saturated chords, rolling hats, and atmospheric swells that bloom and recede like smoke in a late-night room. The result is a focused, immersive trip designed for heads-down floors and long-form sets. Avid listeners and DJs will find much to appreciate in CJWs sophisticated approach to dub-centric electronic music—precision sound design, emotive harmonic movement, and grooves built to breathe on a proper system. This release marks the 57th entry in the Wirelab Records catalogue, a Glasgow-born label founded by CJW (Colin Wright) and now a collaborative effort with Barry Johnstone (aka Dark Kandy). With a renewed focus and a string of successful releases, including a recent number one on Beatports new releases chart, Wirelab Records continues to solidify its position as a force to be reckoned with in the electronic music world.
