Surreal deep blues, the teals and peripheral primary, stretch out before you. The hallmark of a pinpoint moment on the path, and the acknowledgement of the moment for what is was. The cool breeze, not a care in the air, and the coastal stretches of Mexico.

Sometimes, in those most auspicious moments, there is a succinct moment in the subconscious, a time with disregard for the outcome; a time when it just feels right. Overthinking can become almost as cumbersome as not thinking at all, but when instincts take over, and logic is left behind giving you No Reasons.

They stopped by WVBI's Paradise Bay studios to say hello to WVBI's Greg Doig and play one of their tunes.  They played Tell Me from their latest EP.

Wooden Minds is a few of guys who get together on the weekends to expel our energies into playing the music from our soul.  We enjoy a wide array of music, and this helps us drive the creative aspects of our originals.  Time is limited so we make rough drafts in hopes of coming back to rerecord or finalize someday in the future. We like to conceive songs on the fly, and most of what you hear is first time played (literally), and recorded live on the spot.  We enjoy trying grasp the bits of creative stew in our minds and soul while apart, and when we are able to enjoy the company we try and talk it over briefly then dive right in.  The roughness, off time, and untreated (no EFX) recording approach is what we strive for: music in it's purity, raw, friendly, and non egotistic manner.  We would love to play out, or even be able to find other musicians who believe in the music we play, but for now we are content in just playing music as an art, and an escape.  The name Wooden Minds, formerly Dirty George (named from hacking the nicknames of bandmates), is derived from Emerson's thoughts on art and man.  Straight forward and simple.
We hope you enjoy our sounds, vibe, and effort.
