Where boldness meets introspection, "Spectrum of Consciousness" emerges as a sonic expedition through the landscapes of human perception. Drawing inspiration from the psychedelic textures of Tame Impala while embracing the driving energy of The War on Drugs, this musical journey invites listeners to explore the boundaries between power and vulnerability, between the tangible and the transcendent.
This meticulously crafted composition weaves energetic electric guitars, ethereal synths, and dynamic percussion into a captivating tapestry where heroic instrumentation meets philosophical depth. Each musical element contributes to a narrative that explores consciousness, perception, and the multi-dimensional nature of human experience.

Spectrum of Consciousness

In the vast expanse of the cosmos, Earth, a tiny blue planet on the outskirts of the Milky Way, lies silent, its cities in ruins, its people long gone. As a time traveller and musician, I am drawn to this world, to the echoes of a civilisation that reached for the stars but fell short, consumed by an ambition they could neither control nor fully understand.
Through my music, I seek to capture the essence of this lost era, particularly the turbulent times around 2070, when humanity's fate hung in the balance. Each song is a journey through time, a sonic exploration of the apocalyptic moments when everything changed, guided by the haunting melodies and atmospheric soundscapes that paint a vivid picture of a world on the brink of collapse.
As I wander through the abandoned streets and desolate landscapes, I find inspiration in the remnants of human culture - the unfinished symphonies in empty concert halls, the silence that hangs heavy in recording studios where hit songs were once crafted. The music becomes a conduit for the stories that linger in these spaces, tales of dreams pursued and hopes shattered.
In the rhythms of nature reclaiming the cities, I hear a powerful message - that all things must pass, that even the grandest of human achievements are impermanent. This truth resonates through my compositions, serving as a reminder of our own fragility and the need for humility in the face of the universe's vast mysteries.
Each track  is a warning, a cautionary tale wrapped in sound and emotion. They speak of the paths we may tread if we are not vigilant, the dreams that may crumble if we are not wise. Through music, I forge a connection that transcends time and space, inviting listeners to explore the echoes of a vanished world and heed the lessons hidden within.

Even though I scream inside because of America's shit show, I'm still Rebecca, an old hippie rocker. When you read my comments, hear them in a southern drawl. I’m a liberal from Georgia … yes, we do exist. I moved to Hawaii about 20 years ago. 

I’ve been around the block a few times. Played a lot of guitar and a bit of other instruments. Mostly I've worked as a visual artist. I've spent some years in the music biz with a major label and my own indie label. I’ve done some other interesting things, too, including: horse training, long motorcycle trips, movie set design, accompanying my wife on her pro bowling tours, and I've seen a good bit of the world. Now I’m retired and still keep busy doing all the things I want to do.

My inspirations range from ancient music to the most contemporary. I have no limits in my tastes, well not too many... Origins, the third album by The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara, is out now.

The Chronicles of Manimal and Samara (TCOMAS), a UK-based duo featuring Daphne Ang (Singapore) and Andrea Papi (Italy), emerged in London in early 2020. Their debut album, Full Spectrum, established their innovative fusion of poetry performance and heavy music, creating a unique form of expression that has become synonymous with TCOMAS.
TCOMAS's sophomore album, Trust No Leaders, released on July 1, 2022, explores the history of metal, paying tribute to various subgenres. Set against orchestral and cinematic landscapes, the songs also incorporate non-Western musical influences. The lyrics draw inspiration from contemporary and classical poetry, as well as Jungian psychology.
