Freddy Todd x Common Creation - Forest Temple is the second single release in a slow roll out style project of Freddy Todd's featuring some of the most forward thinking underground bass music magicians known and unknown to human kind, a forthcoming album dubbed "THE HI-TECH UNDERGROUND HEAVY GEAR". The first single release saw the light of life in the spring of 2023 in the form of "Sony Toprano",  a rolling bass slapper collaboration with Chef Boyarbeatz. This next single, "Forest Temple", is a massive collaboration with the Atlanta based Common Creation. As these singles slowly release, a few more singles may see the light of day before the entire project is ultimately unleashed, a behemoth 13-16 or so track full length album on the legendary Alpha Pup label, with each track featuring a different collaborative producer partner (some of FT's closer collaborator friends might appear on more than one song). Each track brings a different flavor from the community yet each is tied together with Freddy's signature sounds and current audial fascinations, mainly jazzy funky slamming bass music and 303 acid soaked breaks, although this next single goes down a more melodic soulful path with a continued heavy bass and sound design vibe. We hope you enjoy this next installment and brace yourselves for the rest of the THE HI-TECH UNDERGROUND HEAVY GEAR.

Presenting: ‘Always Falling’, the debut EP from Denver-based duo, @soundsminor, featuring Sarah Mount on the saxophone.

You know that whenever Sam and Jessa (m i n o r) spend time together in the studio, the result will lead to lots of feels and soft melodies through vocals and multiple instruments melding beautifully. Since this duo project was born, they have held down the melodic, indie-electronic side of things here at WUMP with a slew of incredible singles, remixes, and covers that carved their own niche in the Denver music scene. We were thrilled to hear that they teamed up with talented friend and musical colleague, Sarah Mount, to bring some warm saxophone elements into 'Always Falling.'

'Always Falling' definitely carries the heart and soul in its carefully crafted melodies and resonant lyrics (as always), and we are so excited to finally share these 3 songs with you all. You'll hear that classic m i n o r sound with smooth future bass and soothing, chilled out vibes, but it certainly doesn't stop there. You'll also get to hear what can happen when you bring a brilliant saxophonist into the equation. The magic is REAL with these 3 working together, and we even get into some higher energy with the EP's final track, "Break Me Open", showing just how special this group is.
