“He/His/Him” – an original monodrama by Wojciech Wójcik. It is a bold, performative story about masculinity – personal experiences, observations, and conversations that together create an emotional, physical, and musical portrait of the modern man.

What do men not talk about? What defines true masculinity? And is there really a crisis of masculinity—or not?
These are the questions Wojciech Wójcik tackles in his monodrama, breaking stereotypes and giving voice to those who are immersed in it—by birth or by choice. The performance is a mosaic of real statements and creative impressions, enriched with dynamic choreography and original music by chytkowsky

Roger Martinez’s Higher States concludes a successful year by welcoming Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano to the label for their debut EP. Perhaps best known for his releases on Sudbeat Music and The Soundgarden is Berni Turletti. With the backing of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, the Cordoba resident has been tipped as one of progressive music’s future stars. Similarly, Argentinean artist Matias Chilano has spent time on the genre’s premiere imprints, most notably Sudbeat Music and Replug Records, while earning praise from Guy J and Patrice Baumel. Having worked together once previously for an EP on Juicebox Music, Berni and Matias now partner up once again for their Higher States debut ‘Identity / Sarayu’.

Drawing on a variety of smooth rhythmic concepts the EP begins with ‘Identity’. On a backbone of warm, buoyant beats comes mounds of perfectly contoured bass and a lively percussive cadence. Fluid yet electric, an atmospheric glow encases the framework, as timely stabs and effervescent effects unite in a perfect sonic marriage. The narrative shifts as energetic pulses initiate the main break, with buzzing sonics gently rising alongside the main melody, as the beats drop for a spirited finale.

The companion piece ‘Sarayu’ continues the progressive minded vibes of its predecessor. Vibrant stabs and spacey effects sit atop a full, rolling groove as the journey commences. Wintry overlays elevate mood as the first act evolves, perfectly setting the stage for an elastic-like arp to push momentum into the breakdown. Furthering its emotive appeal, the centrepiece melts down into a striking melody; reflective in nature, the cascading theme provides heartfelt moments, perfectly setting up a gentle crescendo as the groove gallops towards a stirring final movement.

With ‘Identity’ and ‘Sarayu’, Berni Turletti & Matias Chilano continue to build on their creative synergy, delivering two creations that will be firmly etched in the hearts of progressive music fans, rounding out a successful year for Roger Martinez’s Higher States.

In addition to the perfectly balanced original, between the genres that shape deep and organic house, the EP also consists of two strong remixes signed by Greenage and Stranger Tourists!

'Burgeoning techno duo Bonsai ring in 2021 with ‘Rule of Two’, a highly-anticipated 3-track EP that features atmospherically driving production elements from start-to-finish.The latest entrancing endeavor to come from the pair directly follows their hard-hitting remix of Galestian’s ‘Worlds Apart’, released in mid-September of last year, as well as their acclaimed 3-track ‘Event Horizon’ EP from the month prior. Out now on venerated Berlin-based imprint Steyoyoke Recordings, the ‘Rule of Two’ EP is available to listen to across all streaming platforms.

‘Forward Unto Darkness’ kicks off the EP with contemplatively brooding, elongated soundscapes. Repetitively stabbing synths, a propulsive rhythm, and infectious beat maintain the energy throughout with ease, and characterize much of the rest of this sonically enticing techno tour de force.

The titular track, ‘Rule of Two’, takes the reins next, and carries with it much of the same high-octane sensibilities. A rising tension is introduced in the first half, and takes its time to settle with the listener before unleashing forcibly with a four-on-the-floor ambiance.

Lastly, ‘Ancient Home’ rounds out the offering with a rapturous finale, evoking a palpable intensity throughout its entire duration. A melodiously flowing beat is paired flawlessly with the overall propelling tone, in turn crafting a rich juxtaposed mixture that doesn’t let up. In all, the 3-track EP is yet another stellar techno masterpiece from Bonsai.'

Aluria and Aman Anand bring a proper underground warehouse vibe here. Deep chunky late night grooves, an infectious male vocal in combination with warm melodies make this an essential piece of forward thinking house music. And if you're not a fan of vocals then no problem; a dub mix is included as well.

To complete the single Australian progressive house maestro GMJ joins in on remix duties. It's his second appearance within the Manual Music family after last years immensely successful remix for Golan Zocher's 'Enter' single on Magnitude Recordings. He provides an interpretation that sounds less dark compared to the original, very funky and driving - a classic essential progressive house groover!

Argentine producer, Rodrigo Lapena, is making a sound digression by which he is recognizable, stepping out of the comfort zone of progressive house music and preparing a very interesting single, a single that is focused more on the deep and organic sounds of house music.
This is also his first release on our label, and is called "Infinite Thoughts". In addition to the beautiful original, we are also signing two remixes. The first remix is ​​the work of the DosTres project, which also comes to us from Argentina, while the second remix is ​​by Brazilian producer Edu Schwartz!
