This single includes the studio version of the song from the ablum and its intro track ('Prelude to 5G') plus two b-sides that will not be on the album: a cover Tom Waits' 'Come On Up To The House' (featuring guest backup vocals from Reesa Trixie Flutterby) and an alternate mix of '5G' that reimagines it as a neo-psychedelic reggae song. The single is dedicated to Michael Whitty, currently serving three years after, who in an act of desperation set fire to a 5G death tower, and to everyone else who has committed similar brave acts of guerilla warfare!!! The singles for 5G and My God Machine combined together into one playlist. '5G' is a song off my upcoming indie/art rock album A Shoo In For The Shut In Awards and 'My God Machine' is a song off my other upcoming album, the more industrial and experimental Essential Travel. Both are expected to come out in early 2021. The b-sides and remixes off both singles are exclusive to the singles as well as being reflective of the sound of the albums their main tracks are off of. A Shoo In For The Shut In Awards is one of two new albums I am releasing more or less simultaneously. It is an indie art rock centered album as opposed to Essential Travel, which is more of an experimental album. This album explores different styles of indie ranging from new wave, worldbeat, neo soul, neo psych, post rock, and other things. All of the lyrics have redpill conscious themes, such as 'The Shot', which is an anti-vax song, 'Chinatown' (which attacks the tyrannical lockdown of our country due to Convid and the attempted Communist takeover from China), or the appropriately titled '5g', an anti-5g song of course.

B-Side from the 5G single. This is a remix of the title track that will not be appearing on the upcoming album A Shoe-In For The Shut-In Awards and thus is exclusive to this single. It morphs the song from the Coldplayesque indie rock/post Britpop vibe of the original into a more neo-psychedelic nu ravey indietronic thing reminiscent of Campfire Headphase-era BOC, Andorra era Caribou, MPP era Animal Collective etc.

Since late 2021, been doing a surreal scifi/paranoid fiction/horror radio series called Samsara Junkyard: Perdition Theater. Did a variety show podcast/livestream called The Various Vortices Of Xylen Roberts from February 2019 to January 2021. In May 2021, released two double albums, the indie art rock A Shoo In For The Shut In Awards and the more experimental Essential Travel. Before that I released over a dozen other albums as Xylen Roberts and Mythshifter from 2012 to 2020 alone as well as many others before that.
