@greenmercurianowl This Felix Buckman thinking about why he has to destroy Taverner; the scene is later on in the book. I think it’s significant because Buckman seems to have a breakdown and this changes his view of the world. The music is adaptation of John Dowland’s Flow My Tears song which Buckman is captivated by.

This is an impressionist adaptation of Philip K. Dick's 1975 novel. 

Set in 1988, this is the story of Jason Taverner, a hugely successful TV personality, whose reality suddenly and violently changes. Flow My Tears is one of my favourite Philip K. Dick novels; it has those trademark disorientating Dickian moments where you can't tell what's real or not. 

While published in 1975, the novel reflects the politics of late 1960s America. Taverner's predicament plays out in a world governed by a totalitarian world government that uses a brutal police apparatus to exercise power, and a second American civil war which gave rise to a terrible racial policy that is slowly and deliberately destroying black people.

Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said contains typical Philip K. Dick themes around free will, artificial humans and the capacity for empathy. In some ways the origin of the novel appears to be much earlier than the actual publication date. However, these are dealt with in a fresh and energetic way.

I Recently had the pleasure and the honor of working on a Furico Music Team-music works Album project.
