The year has been very quiet so far regarding releases. But before the year comes to an end, Tripedal Crow Records introduce their new vinyl lathe cut series: 'DARKPLATE', first heavy edition hitting the frontlines in November. Like the 'ROOTPLATE', cut onto 60 pieces of transparent 10' vinyl by Pressure Mastering, each edition of this series also gets the personal hand-labeling & numbering treatment by JahYu. Pre-order for the physical as well as the digital version will be available from 18th November, exclusively on their Bandcamp. The full release follows a week later on 25th November - better mark it in your calendar - the 10' cuts will be gone sooner rather than later. Encompassing the release are two massive cuts, both by JahYu. Each with his signature technique and fashion - but in a new invigorating drive.

After JahYu himself was attacked by German neo-Nazis not the first time in his life, but recently earlier this year, here came an attempt to process his dark side on the one hand and empower himself on the other. The product is 'No Mercy For Fascists', a deeper dub-influenced track with a driving bass that seems to sweep aside everything in its path and is made to push any sound system to the limit. And 'Azalea' on the other hand, which is more likely to please the Junglists among you, radically beautiful like an azalea that puts its roots in the ground and makes it vibrate - for empowerment, but not to lose your footing.

For label-head JahYu and his very own Tripedal Crow Records the message is quite clear. No fascism ever again and nowhere! This release is dedicated to all people who still suffer from this inhuman ideology today. And everyone suffers from it in different ways - only we all can fight this detestable system of racism together and empower ourselves to do so.

Composé autour d’une conversation entre mon père et moi, capturée par hasard il y a 25 ans sur une VHS lors d’une soirée d’observation des étoiles filantes, l’album explore le souvenir, la transmission et notre rapport au temps. Il plonge l’auditeur·ice dans l’intimité du cocon familial, la naïveté de l’enfance et la tendresse d’un père face à l’infiniment grand.

Aujourd’hui, si on lève les yeux vers la constellation de la Lyre et que l’on observe son étoile la plus brillante, Alpha Lyrae, nous la voyons telle qu’elle était il y a 25 ans, au moment où je partageais cet instant de complicité avec mon père.

Built around a conversation with my father, accidentally recorded 25 years ago on a VHS during a night of stargazing, the album explores memory, transmission, and our relationship with time. It draws the listener into the warmth of family, the innocence of childhood, and a father’s tenderness before the vastness of the universe.

When we look up at the Lyra constellation today and spot its brightest star, Alpha Lyrae, we’re seeing it as it was 25 years ago, the very moment I shared that special bond with my father.
