Train to Scandinavia Is an album of new age, electronica and ambient music recorded entirely on sleeper trains and hotels in Scandinavia during an 18 day round trip from England to the Arctic by train. It captures the atmospheric and beautiful landscapes of the far north during the winter months.

Cold Comfort ft. Richard Anthony Bean

This is originally an old folksong from Serbia and the Balkan-region. Signe Førre has made a new arrangement to this song with a more modern feeling with electric guitar and drum solo in the middle of the song and she has written new parts to the music.

 Signe Førre is a double bassist, singer and composer from Norway who loves to discover folk music from different parts of the world. 

Signe Førre Kvartett is a Norwegian group with Signe Førre on vocals and double bass, Torbjørn Økland on different guitars, bouzouki, mandolin and trumpet, Jo Asgeir Lie on accordion and Kåre Opheim on drums and percussion. All the members Signe Førre has invited to her group has won at least 2 Norwegian Grammys before. They are now planing to make their debut album together with Folk and World Music.

Ruse kose curo imaš was a part of a commission work to Finnesloftet some years ago. Finnesloftet is the oldest wooden hall in tree in Norway and was build around 1295 AD in the town Voss in the western part of Norway. Now they have concerts there in the summer.

Teufels Lehrerin
 
Der Teufel besann sich auf das, was sie ihn gelehrt hatte. 
Er machte sich auf in die Finanzzentren. Aber er fand Menschen, die kein Tod und kein Teufel mehr in Versuchung führen konnten. Die hatten in ihrer Gier schon alles versucht!
 
Teufels Lehrerin 
 
Enttäuscht ging er die Straße hinab. Er traf auf brave Leute, die ihre Angelegenheiten erledigten. Doch dann erkannte er, dass er sie nicht mehr in Versuchung führen konnte. Denn all diese gut genährten und gut gekleideten Menschen scheuten sich nicht, mit Dingen zu handeln, an denen Blut klebte. 
Der Teufel wandte sich ab, hier gab es für ihn keine Seele zu gewinnen.
 
Sie brauchen dich nicht mehr, sagte Teufels Lehrerin, denn sie heizen das Feuer ihrer Hölle selbst an. Diese Tagediebe und Maulhuren, die ihre Zeit totschlagen, und wenn sie ihre Selbstachtung verkaufen, kostet es sie nicht mehr als ein Lächeln. 
 
Sie reden ihren Untergang schön. 
Aber all die Heuchelei, 
die Gier, 
die Eitelkeit, 
die Trägheit, 
die Gleichgültigkeit 
sind nicht dein Verdienst, sondern ihr eigener. 
Darum wirst du von ihrer Verdammnis nicht profitieren können.
 
Sie brauchen dich nicht, sie brauchen den Teufel nicht

Doch dann türmte sich eine gewaltige Welle auf, größer als jede andere vor ihr. Entfesselt raste sie aufs Land zu und riss Tausende in den Tod.
 
Der Teufel blickte sich verwirrt um, diese Katastrophe hatte nichts mit ihm zu tun. Die Menschen waren ihm wieder einmal zuvor gekommen.
