Kentaro Noda was born on 24th February 1976. He studied under Nobuko Ishiodori, Takuya Kosugi, Tatsunori Ishihara and Norimasa Matsuda all before graduating from Mie Prefectural Yokkaichi Senior High School. He studied under Yasuko Tasumi at Music Department of The Kyoto City University of Arts from April 1994, and also debuted at Kyoto Concert Hall in 1996 and graduated in March 1999. During September 1999 and May 2000, He studied under Kasandra Keeling, Theresa Bogard, Mary Ann Jones and Anne Marie Guzzo at the Performance Certificate Program of The University of Wyoming Department of Music. After transfer, he studied under Gary Smart and Charlotte Mabrey at the Performance Certificate Program of The University of North Florida Department of Music, and also finished in May 2002. He is first Japanese non ex-aequo winner of The 12th Young Composers' Meeting and first invited Japanese composer from The 10th Avantgarde Tirol in 2006.

Masahiro Aogaki (b.1991) is a Japanese composer currently based in Paris. In his recent compositional process, Aogaki has demonstrated a keen interest in redefining the identities and the integrities of instruments, voices, and texts, while also recontextualizing existing musical languages. Inspired by the poetry of Romanian surrealist Ghérasim Luca, he particularly explores the phenomenon of “stuttering” that characterizes Luca’s works, influencing his musical compositions.

In 2017, he obtained his Master’s degree in Composition from Tokyo University of the Arts under Ichiro Nodaira, and later graduated with highest honors unanimously from the Paris Conservatory (CNSMDP) in 2022, where he worked with Stefano Gervasoni, Luis Naón, Yan Maresz, Grégoire Lorieux, Yann Geslin, and Oriol Saladrigues. In 2022-23, Aogaki participated in the IRCAM Cursus led by Pierre Jodlowski and Simone Conforti. His first portrait concert took place in Paris in July 2023, and his piece Dé-monologue –Cinq poèmes de Ghérasim Luca– was nominated for Le Tremplin Musical of the Fondation Prince Pierre de Monaco in the same year. From 2023 to 2025, he was appointed composer-in-residence at the Conservatoire Claude Debussy in Paris’ 17th arrondissement, collaborating with Ensemble Court-circuit.

His works have been performed by various ensembles such as Orchestre de Picardie, Orchestre de Caen, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Court-circuit, Ensemble Fractales, loadbang, Bux Ensemble, Ensemble Reconsil, Ensemble Eins, Ensemble Muromachi, Ensemble Next, Collettivo_21, and Duo Jeux d’Anches, among others. Aogaki has participated in numerous masterclasses and received guidance from composers and ensembles including Tristan Murail, Allain Gaussin, Philippe Manoury, Thierry De Mey, Jean-Luc Hervé, Marco Momi, Jaime Reis, Sivan Eldar, Joji Yuasa, Misato Mochizuki, and Diotima Quartet.

He has been awarded grants from institutions such as the Meiji Yasuda Cultural Foundation, the Nomura Foundation, the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan, the Kakehashi Foundation, and the Centre International Nadia et Lili Boulanger.

Yuheng Chen – Composer, Pianist, and Contemporary Arts Event Organizer. Born in 1998 in Jinan, China,

Chen’s work draws on memory—awakening and transforming personal traumas—through dense, grainy textures and weighted pulses whose resonances give space for reflection.

Chen studied composition under Michael Jarrell and Clara Iannotta, as well as electroacoustic composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw) with Karlheinz Essl. Starting in 2024, Chen will begin working with the International Ensemble Modern Academy (IEMA) based in Frankfurt.

In 2022, Chen was a finalist in the Ö1 Talentebörse competition in Austria. In 2023, Chen was a laureate of the Toru Takemitsu Composition Award and received first prizes at the Concorso Internazionale di Composizione, the Frank Robert Abell Young Composers Competition in the USA, and the Irino Composition Prize in Japan. Chen is active in numerous music festivals, including Witten Tage für neue Kammermusik, Tokyo Operacity Composium 2023, Impuls Festival Graz, Bludenzer Tage zeitgemäßer Musik, Klangspuren Schwaz, Festival Mixtur Barcelona, and Wien Modern. Chen’s works have been performed by various orchestras and ensembles such as the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble Recherche, Ensemble Names, Ensemble Phace, Ensemble Platypus, Ensemble Modern, and many others.

Chen also attended private classes with Ying Wang, and masterclasses with Olga Neuwirth, Chaya Czernowin, Francesco Filidei, and Franck Bedrossian, among others.
