"Recording a mix is always a fun musical journey. This time, I sprained my ankle playing soccer, so I recorded it at home while preparing for the spring gigs, with one foot in the air and a whole lot of energy for the season to come. Starting with melodic ease, building through percussive breaks, big basses and piano's, this mix is how I would kick off a set in spring. Also some unreleased tracks. Trying to mimic that Vitamin D energy and the feeling of putting your sunglasses on in the sun! :)"

Lighthouse Festival 2025 @ Croatia

I remember dancing for hours and hours at the Sleepless Floor in the summer of 2010. A dancefloor that, as the names says, never stops. It was the first time I heard house music the right way and I also remember hearing ‘Music Is The Answer’ by Danny Tenaglia and saying to my friend Boris: “I think it got me, the virus, it got me.” I wasn’t wrong. House music gave me so much in the years after and in a way it also saved me. Those early years were at times lonely and dark. Going out back then was confusing, when the only people that looked like me in clubs were security guards or the cleaning staff. It was supposed to be about freedom and togetherness right, but where was everyone? Luckily that darkness gave room to light and I found my people (and I keep finding them!) and I held on to house music, it was an embrace for eternity and it became the center of my work. I could channel my emotions through it and it never left, it became my home. So that’s why I decided to start this mix series. House Is Where The Heart Is. A series that will probably go on forever if it’s up to me. For the music that gave me the key to it’s home and and welcomed me in.
