I recorded this early November in 2023. Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari is on the New Zealand, North Island. It´s a warm spring morning with sounds of the birds but also farm animals and the occasional vehicle.

Description: recording made on a spring afternoon among the green Tuscan hills at the foot of a small woods. The flowing water of a small stream can be heard and among the trees there is a hoopoe's nest, also very audible during the recording. Present in the background in the distance is the traffic of an extra-urban road and some airliners flying at cruising altitude.

According to Vicky Powys the main callers are Pobblebonk Frogs also known as Banjo Frogs Limnodynastes dumerilii. The middle caller's id is still unclear. The revving undertones could be Motorbike Frogs Litoria moorei.
