[DE] Excitement overload ❤️‍🔥 Es fühlt sich so gut an, zu den Wurzeln zurückzukehren, indem ich wieder Techno spiele (unter meinen verschiedenen Stilen ist Techno das, womit ich meine musikalische Reise begonnen habe). Ich habe den Mainfloor mit Deep Techno in dieser epischen Nacht am 2. Dezember 2023 eröffnet, an diesem wahnsinnig geilen, geheimen Ort mitten auf dem Alex. 🎈

Die Nacht war von Anfang bis Ende episch, wir hatten 3 Floors offen und es war schon von Anfang an voll. Ich freue mich sehr, die Aufnahme hier zu teilen, um die Momente noch einmal zu erleben ❤️‍🔥 Ich wünsche allen eine fantastische Weihnachtszeit und freue mich darauf, im Jahr 2024 wieder zu tanzen - gemeinsam!

[EN] Excitement overload ❤️‍🔥 It feels so good to circle back to the roots by playing techno again (among my diverse styles, techno is where I started with in this musical journey) I opened the main floor with deep techno on this epic night on Dec 2, 2023, at this insanely awesome secret spot right in the middle of Alex. 🎈

The night was epic from beginning to end where we had 3 floors open and it was already packed from the start. Super happy to share the recording here to relive the moments ❤️‍🔥 Wishing everyone a fantastic holiday season and looking forward to dancing again in the shiny 2024 - together!

1. A little introduction. Tell us your artist name, where you're based out of? How has your DJing style evolved since you started and when did you start?

I’m yungfya!  born and raised in West London, shaped by Leeds and now based in Berlin. five years ago, a mentorship program with Femme Bass Mafia sparked my journey into DJing. my eclectic style has always been a bit of a challenge for this city, but over the years, I've learned how to present my sound in a playful and accessible way. it’s important to me that people feel invited to connect with the music I’m sharing, rather than alienated. low-end frequencies and intricate drum patterns have always been at the core of my sets, and that’s unlikely to change anytime soon.

2. What inspired this mix?

The subtle wisdom of ecology, where everything coexists, with or without meaning, inspired this session. I allow rhythm and texture to unfold in conversation by layering tracks with shifting drum patterns to create a kind of dialogue that honors both intention and organic flow,  like voices in a dream: meeting, diverging, dancing in and out of each other’s gravity. structure dissolves and meaning emerges in the spaces between.

3. What is the ideal setting for this mix? What venue or vibes? How does DJing make you feel when you're doing it? 

When I’m DJing, I feel like I’m deep in a swamp surrounded by dubby atmospheres, weird echoes and wild jungle breaks. it feels murky, spiritual and very untamed. shifting drum patterns guide the journey in this mix, so the ideal setting would be somewhere outdoors, maybe under a full moon with a stacked soundsystem pushing serious weight! a space where people can get lost in the low end and let the rhythms take over.

Es war und ist mir eine große Ehre als Teil von ‘Who’s That Girl’ (@whosthatgirl_berlin) am Weltfrauentag in der Rummelsbucht aufzulegen!! 💘

Es fühlte sich an wie in einem Traum die anwesende Gesellschaft zu verzaubern und während dieser magischen Reise so viele glückliches Gesichter zu erleben.

Liebsten Dank an all jene, die mich in dieser unvergesslichen Nacht begleitet haben! Es war so unglaublich schön viele Freunde aus Berlin und von anderen Orten zu sehen und zusammen diese besondere Nacht zu zelebrieren!!

It’s such an honor to be a part of the Who’s That Girl (@whosthatgirl_berlin) showcase and play at Rummels Bucht (one of my all-time favorite spots in Berlin) on International Women’s Day!! 💓

(This day is also very remarkable for the City of Berlin: the German capital is celebrating International Women's Day as a public holiday for the first time on Friday, the first German federal state to do so!) 🙌🏼

It feels like a dream, still, to play at the Salon floor (my favorite floor at Bucht!) from 3:30-6am and sharing this deep journey with the roomful of lovelies with glowing smiles throughout the entire ride. 💓😌💭

Many thanks to everyone for joining V at this unforgettable night. It was so nice to see many friends from Berlin and other cities who came and celebrated this special night altogether!!
