About:
Vox Sinistra explores the synthesis of dark underground electronic sounds with retro and modern inspiration. In her work as a DJ, she has cultivated community in the genres of EBM and techno body music, industrial, New Beat, minimal and cold wave, forward-thinking electro and techno, and '80s synth music such as Italo disco, acid house, synth-pop, new wave and more. With a background in post-punk, no wave and related alternative and DIY punk movements, she combines sounds with rebellious spirit, nostalgic melodies, and avant-garde genre-mashing that stimulates bodies into movement for a cathartic and heavy dance music experience.


She is currently host of club night and label Strict Tempo, where she books an international selection of dark electronic artists, and has worked with artists including Xeno and Oaklander, Twin Tribes, Kris Baha, Ultra Sunn, Crystal Geometry, Bestial Mouths, Parade Ground, Statiqbloom, Curses, Aurat, Violet Poison, Filmmaker, Paradox Obscur, and many more. 

Vox is also known for her post-punk/'80s wave radio show Secret Meaning of Things at KHUH 104.9 FM since 2011, shortlisted for Best Music Show - Alternative in the 2018 Mixcloud Radio Awards. She has been featured in Mixcloud's 'One to Watch' series, and her mixes have landed at #1 in Mixcloud charts for over 20 different genres, including post-punk; industrial; rock; punk; world; alternative; new wave; synth-pop; EBM; acid; darkwave; coldwave; minimal wave; dark; goth; new beat; electroclash; electro-industrial; dark electro; Italo dance; Italo disco;  post-disco; hardcore techno and more. She is also a former music columnist for Seattle's Pulitzer Prize-winning alt weekly The Stranger from 2011-2019, and current contributing writer to Post-Punk.com. Around 2017, she was inspired to mix her underground '80s sounds with techno and electro, and is now focusing on making club sets for dark and dungeonesque dance floors.

Going Back 13 years ago!! 
This is the last track of the Live Show we did tour supporting The XX in their US tour back in Oct 2012 where we made a live medley with Cheaters vs Sunshine. We never had a recording but Pional found it recently in a HD so here it is. 

In this first tour we decided to play with a setup full of synths, pads, percussions and vocal mics with Helicons, and we we're mixing ourselves on stage without sound engineer in front of 5-8k people every night before The XX . We had one mixer each with our instruments that we were sending to a central mixer with sendings and returns. It was a bit wild to handle
and I still wonder how we did it but it worked pretty well for a first live tour :p 
DIY way.

A 2013 Red Bull Music Academy alumnus who's performed at renowned festivals and clubs like Dekmantel, Kater Blau, and Mareh Festival. Known for fusing traditional Brazilian rhythms with contemporary electronic sounds, his music moves between techno, house, disco, and trance-infused beats. Thumping slow tunes layered with tropical textures and hypnotic synths available on migthy labels like Permanent Vacation, Razor-N-Tape or DSRPTV most recently.

Ricardo Tobar returns to MUSAR with 'Knitting' - a four-track EP blending dancefloor intimacy with raw, analog spirit. A two original cuts from the Chilean producer are joined by standout remixes from synth sorcerer Pye Corner Audio and cosmic rave queen Nightwave.

The EP opens with 'Los Siblings', a distilled snapshot of Tobar’s current sound: intricate arrangements, ethereal melodies, heavyweight bass-line and a vintage edge shaped for the club. “I’m embracing the dancefloor,” he says. “This is me doing tunes I would like to dance to.”

On the flip, 'Knitting' unravels from a simple arpeggio into lysergic ‘’Stereolab’' - techno chaos-alive, imperfect, and deeply personal. “It sounds like it wants to eat itself,” Tobar reflects. Layers on layers of psychedelia and cosmic melody turn this into a trippy journey track like no one else does.

Architect of foggy club rituals, Pye Corner Audio transforms 'Knitting' into an eerie, trance-tinged club weapon, while Nightwave turns 'Knitting' into a high-gloss, dreamy club stormer.

Egg Shells is a compilation series by the label Biardo Records. These compilations bring together various musicians and producers, blending different sounds and textures into a unified flow. The series isn’t tied to a specific genre — it primarily conveys a certain state and mood.
The second compilation turned out to be gothic, summery-contemplative, and warmly analog in both sound and spirit. Vocal and acoustic instrument samples, fourth world music, audio collage, loop deconstruction — all of this applies to this work. Cosmic, post-impressionistic, in live contact with the emotional and instinctive realm. Deep emotionality is conveyed through multifaceted textures, inviting us once again into a spiritual, meditative atmosphere.
