Let your Consciousness Resonate with this Tone Poem,
for if it suggests anything, it's that 'There is Peace at Center, and that Center is Everywhere'.  It's just a matter of becoming attuned with it. 

What you hear first in this composition represents the 'Cosmic Background Radiation' which even now remains from what we understand as the moment of Creation, the Big Bang.  It is present throughout the piece, even as it permeates our entire Universe.

This Vibrational Fingerprint of what occurred at the beginning and whose  'radiant energy' continue to resonate throughout this entire Universe and is still present today, was theorized years ago and then revealed by  measurements by NASA's C.O.B.E. satellite. 
 i.e  C.O.(smic) B.(ackground) E.(xplorer)     

Yes... I know, it all sounds kinda 'New Agey' 😉 and... perhaps these liner notes could be so construed. But in this case, this music was born out of months of contemplation of a Huge Life-manifested Zen Koan that dawned in my awareness!  And what an opportunity to Compose! 😊

The Koan was " What is the Sound of Manifestation?  What is the SOUND of the Process of The Stuff of Life arising as it dances, and sparks New manifestations of substance throughout the universe - and then dissolves back into 'the vacuum' out of which it arose.

What would 'that' sound like? 
Hmmmm. Impossible, yet tantalizing. 😉

No matter .. many have found that the peace they felt in resonating with whatever IT ultimately IS, is More than Enough to keep them totally interested. 😃

So...if you find this composition enJoyable, relaxing and easy to flow with,  
then I am more than happy.

Our elders used to say, not so long ago:
 "It is progress that will kill Man".
With time, I notice indeed that progress brought to the human being a lot of help and comfort of all kinds!
But I realise that this progress has a serious dark side because it has always been achieved in terms of maximum profit and not always to good effect.
To say that it is greed that has taken over instead of thoughtful progress for all!
And today the forest is burning, it is a symbol that shows us how the danger is becoming more than obvious to the point of wondering if it is really avoidable.

Nos Anciens disaient, il n'y a pas si longtemps :
 "C'est le progrès qui tuera l'Homme".
Avec le temps, je constate en effet que le progrès a apporté à l'humain beaucoup d'aides et du confort de toute sorte !
Mais je m'aperçois que ce progrès comporte une sérieuse zone d'ombre car il a toujours été réalisé en terme de profit maximum et pas toujours à bon escient.
Pour dire que c'est la cupidité qui a pris le dessus à la place d'un progrès réfléchis pour tous !
Et aujourd'hui la forêt brûle, c'est tout un symbole qui nous montre combien le danger devient plus qu'évident au point de se demander s'il est vraiment évitable.

Childhood in 7/8 time: Istanbul Before Twelve smells of simit and the sea; it sounds like ferry horns, spoon percussion, and merchants’ cries. Makam melodies meet nu-jazz soul—warm, handcrafted, alive.



This is my first map of Istanbul—from the courtyard to the ferry, from the tea garden to the Grand Bazaar. You’ll hear makam colors, microtones, and aksak grooves in 7/8 and 9/8; saz, oud, kanun, ney, kaval, zurna, darbuka, and davul telling how the city sounded to me before I turned twelve.
Each track is a scene: our block, the neighbor, Teacher Veli (stern and kind), friendship and hospitality, the green valleys, the Bosphorus, the nights, the tea garden, and the journey forward. Between seagulls and ferry horns, nu-jazz and soul blend with a hint of djent—honest, warm, handcrafted.

Now retired from a life 'on the road' as a freelance keyboard player, I compose and record in my home studio, situated in the Carrick Hills in Southern Scotland. My music is mainly instrumental in nature and is a reflection of my life experience, sometimes real and sometimes imagined.
My influences are many and I have quite probably been shaped by listening to the very many "giants" of music, both players and composers. From classical to contemporary jazz and everything in between. My main instrument is the keyboard, whether that be piano, organ or synth. But I also play banjo, flute and percussion. I have a special relationship'with bass, whether upright or electric and use virtual and synth basses from numerous sources, but mainly Trilian by Spectrasonics.
