Ascension Symphony: An Orchestral Odyssey in 4 Movements.

The 1st movement "Path of Destiny" begins with marching melodies 
and proceeds with haunting harmonies, evoking the tangled paths and painful losses encountered along the way. 
With turbulent brass and strings and mournful melodies, 
the music navigates through the labyrinth of adversity, 
while the dreamy motifs symbolize the eternal hope that guides the traveler through the darkest of times.

Esta música é uma colaboração entre o duo Esmeraldas (@esmeraldas-som), André Torii e Luis Sucapuca. Foi escrita para um concurso da Universidade Federal da Integração Latino Americana (UNILA), universidade pública localizada em Foz do Iguaçu/Brasil. A música recebeu nota 85/100 dos jurados e terminou na sexta colocação. Ficamos muito orgulhosos do resultado e decidimos compartilhar. A música fala do povo latino-americano, nossa terra, nossa cultura e como tudo isso se mantém vivo na UNILA.

Fue escrito para un concurso de la Universidad Federal para la Integración Latinoamericana (UNILA), una universidad pública ubicada en Foz do Iguaçu/Brasil. La canción recibió una puntuación de 85/100 por parte de los jueces y terminó en el sexto lugar. Estamos muy orgullosos del resultado y decidimos compartirlo con vosotros. La canción trata sobre el pueblo latinoamericano, nuestra tierra, nuestra cultura y cómo todo esto se mantiene vivo en UNILA.

This song is a collaboration between duo Esmeraldas (@esmeraldas-som), André Torii and Luis Sucapuca. It was written for a contest at the Federal University for Latin American Integration (UNILA), a public university located at Foz do Iguaçu/Brazil. The song receive a score of 85/100 by the judges and ended up at 6th place. We are very proud of the result and decided to share it with you. The song is about the latin american people, our land, our culture and how this all is kept alive at UNILA.

This song from Neil will not be familiar to most. From an LP called "For in the Road" (2009).
The lyrics really resonated with me  based on how I have been feeling as a citizen of the US the last several months. The tone seems to fit with my my most recent original composition called "Bravery".
