Foi escrita para um concurso da Universidade Federal da Integração Latino Americana (UNILA), universidade pública localizada em Foz do Iguaçu/Brasil. A música recebeu nota 85/100 dos jurados e terminou na sexta colocação. Ficamos muito orgulhosos do resultado e decidimos compartilhar. A música fala do povo latino-americano, nossa terra, nossa cultura e como tudo isso se mantém vivo na UNILA.

La canción recibió una puntuación de 85/100 por parte de los jueces y terminó en el sexto lugar. Estamos muy orgullosos del resultado y decidimos compartirlo con vosotros. La canción trata sobre el pueblo latinoamericano, nuestra tierra, nuestra cultura y cómo todo esto se mantiene vivo en UNILA.

This song is a collaboration between duo Esmeraldas (@esmeraldas-som), André Torii and Luis Sucapuca. It was written for a contest at the Federal University for Latin American Integration (UNILA), a public university located at Foz do Iguaçu/Brazil. The song receive a score of 85/100 by the judges and ended up at 6th place. We are very proud of the result and decided to share it with you. The song is about the latin american people, our land, our culture and how this all is kept alive at UNILA.

Hello! I’m a university professor of history who enjoys playing guitar and piano/keyboard, and occasionally composing — unpretentiously, just for fun.
Most of my recordings (made with a KorgD8, Audacity, and more recently Reaper for MIDI and the Spitfire Audio libraries) are entirely homemade and decidedly imperfect.
My music includes old songs (all written back in the last century; here I’ve only shared the ones I’ve reworked in recent years) as well as both old and new instrumentals — usually in several versions, some of which eventually disappear because they’re simply unlistenable.

Thanks for stopping by and giving something a listen; in the description you’ll often find explanatory notes or translations of the lyrics.
Here I’ve discovered a community of talented musicians and songwriters, and plenty of beautiful music to enjoy. Whenever I like, comment, or repost a track, it’s always the result of attentive listening. For the same reason, I’m not interested in trading empty “likes” without real engagement, and I won’t reply to messages from would-be promoters — follower counts don’t matter to me in the slightest.
