This is a song that originated with JJ, who was kind enough to share it with Ken (K2 and the Three, and the K2 and the Four), Tez (Llanpsych), and me. I have to say that this was the most fun I've had on a song in a while, mainly because it allowed me to play out my Miles Davis fantasy that I've had brewing for the past 30 or so years. I like to imagine my guitar part as a trumpet part. The reason I'm able to do this is because of JJ's amazing modal keys parts. He's playing a major against a minor riff over an uncommitted bass line. That bass line happens to be rolling along over top of some highly innovative drumming by Ken. It sounds like water falling or someone tripping down the stairs to me. Perfect! After we had it all recorded, we sent it to my man in Manchester, Tez, who painstakingly put it together into a live sounding, balanced song. This was truly a team effort and one of which I'm extraordinary proud.  We all hope you dig it, as well.

The story behind this one is that Rob Ulysses of Archmage Band often has a reoccurring dream setting that he calls the "Macabre Coast".

We tried out a new style for this one, a darker more ambient approach with slow, heavy and steady beats and haunting synth bells.

This song is a theme song for our game in progress of the same name. We hope that you like the result when it's ready.

Originally the song is 6 1/2 miinutes long. This is a shorter radio edit version produced by Neons Gone Mad. We think they did an excellent job! ♥
