Bens thirst and passion for house music is something thats run deep for nearly 30years. Dancing on the floors of Fabric and The End to DJ's that have influenced him such as Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, DJ Heather, Diz, Jesse Rose, Craig Richards and Terry Francis. Now having  over 20 years DJ experience and playing alongside house heavyweights such as Inland Knights, Trevor Loveys and Bugz in the Attic. Ben is now resident and promotor for his own night House Is Where The Heart Is which is gracing many a dance floors across Kent’s South East coastal towns. DJ JM’s journey through the evolving landscapes of the European club scene paints a vivid picture of a dedicated artist continuously reinventing his sound and pushing boundaries. Originating from Vilnius, Lithuania,
and making a significant impact on the UK’s percussive club scene, JM quickly became a noteworthy figure in the late 2010s. His collaborations with notable names like TSVI, Wallwork, and NKC in London were instrumental in establishing his reputation. Known for his adeptness at creating rhythmically intricate and sample-rich tracks, DJ JM’s releases on labels like Even The Strong, Goon Club Allstars, Nervous Horizon, and his self-released EPs showcased his unique approach to music production.
In 2020, JM relocated from Copenhagen to Brussels, where he found a solid footing in the city’s vibrant underground scene. His involvement with Kiosk Radio and collaboration with Le Motel on an EP for Maloca
Records allowed him to explore a more melodic, bass-heavy sound. Since the implosion of the percussive scene, JM’s DJ sets and radio shows remained a testament to his prolific nature, consistently featuring a
fresh array of his own productions alongside eclectic house and electro selections.
In late 2022, JM returned to Copenhagen with a renewed sense of purpose and a disciplined approach to his craft. Embracing self-imposed creative limitations, JM’s “Abnormal,” project was born through Nervous
Horizon, which encapsulated his focused and raw energy. The past year in Copenhagen further fueled JM’s inspiration, particularly through playing at various parties and radios around the city. This experience led him
to focus on creating highly functional and groovy tracks, resulting in the “Barrakuda” EP. This latest release highlights JM’s ability to craft dancefloor-ready music that remains innovative and engaging, cementing his status as a dynamic and forward-thinking producer in the electronic music scene.
