Tenja, was born in the Essone district of South Paris in 1982, where he started on his musical pathway playing the guitar at the age of ten. 

By the age of 16 he was producing ragga hip-hop beats and joined French hip-hop collective '7Secte' from Seine et Marne where he discovered his talent as an MC and vocalist.

In 2008 Tenja moved to England to spread his message and his voice.
His career flourished as he hooked up with 'Daddy-U' and 'The Uplifter',
and also assumed the role of singer in reggae band 'Dubheart'.
Since then he as performed regularly both with the band and as a solo artist at events and festivals around the world such as Dubnium (Bournemouth), Outlook Festival (Croatia), Endorse it in Dorset Festival where he performed with Dubmatix, Cargo (London), Nozstock Festival and Onelove Festival where the band arrived second in the U.K. Reggae Contest.

His talent shone through and was soon recognised by promotors in the reggae scene, and since then he has performed along artists such as Channel One System, Jazzsteppa, Congo Natty, Kromstar and RSD in the Dub to Jungle and Dub to Dubstep UK tours. As his reputation grew he found himself perfoming alongside Marcia Griffiths at the Salute to the Wailers event at Hammersmith Apollo in London.
His current projects include his work with Dubheart who are currently working on a new roots reggae album, as well as personal projects making roots and steppas riddims and producing dubplates for some well known artists.... watch this space!

Forbidden Society has transitioned from being a DJ and producer to establishing a brand that reaches far beyond his Czech Republic roots. Known for his refusal to conform to commercial pressures, he has earned a formidable reputation and a loyal fan base. His self-titled imprint has showcased his diverse sound, exemplified by releases like the Fog Walk LP and the Dead Box EP, which explore a range of genres including drum & bass, electro, and punk.

His relationship with Noisia has been a significant highlight of his career, featuring reworks for their tracks "Exodus" and "Moving For You" (featuring I Am Legion). This collaboration continued with his Subworld EP on VISION Recordings, further solidifying his prominence in the scene. His contribution to the Overview compilation and his most recent album, Lonely Road on VISION, demonstrate his versatility and creativity. Lonely Road represents a bold exploration of new personal and musical realms, delivering a deeply dark and dense sonic experience.

During this period, he also hosted a stage at the Beats for Love Festival in Ostrava, curating an explosive lineup while managing a jam-packed album campaign that received support from SiriusXM via Diplo’s show, UKF, Kiss FM, and more.

Throughout his career, Forbidden Society has brought his explosive presence to international stages, including the legendary Let it Roll, where he’s been invited back year after year. His innovative approach continues to secure his longevity, bringing fresh sounds and ideas to his fans globally.

Growing up hooked to the bleeps and breaks of The Prodigy and London’s pirate radio stations, Blade and Virtua followed the development of Jungle to Drum &amp; Bass, eventually finding themselves drawn to the futuristic output of labels such as Underfire and Renegade Hardware – and in particular, the techno-edged Konflict sound.Meeting through friends in the late 1990s, they have been producing Drum &amp; Bass together ever since.
Their first release as The Sect came in 2003, but it was their debut EP on Offkey in 2006 that brought them to the attention of many of the scene’s most important players.A string of releases followed quickly on a host of other respected labels, including: Position Chrome, Freak, Obscene, Habit and Subsistenz and they have received support from DJs across the Drum &amp; Bass spectrum for their productions and remixes on labels as diverse as Cause 4 Concern Ltd, PRSPCT, Red Light, KSS Black and Utopia Music.
Despite the heavy production schedule, The Sect are as at home behind the decks as in the studio. Virtua has showcased his formidable turntablist skills at competitions and nights around the country and Blade has been DJing for nearly 20 years, playing regularly at events across the world, from the UK to Russia and New Zealand. They have established a reputation for high-energy DJ sets, combining tight mixing with cutting-edge dubs to move crowds wherever they play.
The Sect’s debut album ‘Fractured State’ was released on Subsistenz Recordings in December 2011.
