Thank you for listening to my music.
All the chirping bugs were collected and recorded by me.
There are more than 100 species.
Each song expresses a sense of the active seasons of Japanese spring, summer and autumn.
The detailed, musical phrases include the movement of insects.
In this Insect Orquesta series, each song is create with  different skill and belief.
For example, you can drastically change the pitch of the insects, chop up the syllables or, conversely, leave the recording material as it is, without altering it at all. This is an image of a single record becoming a mandala, projecting what's going on in the real world onto the music.
Anyway, the sounds of Japanese nature are pouring into your body, and you feel like you are in a world of insects.
In addition, Japanese people have had a culture of listening to the sound of insects since the Nara period (710 to 794 AD), as described in the Manyo-shu. Because of this, we often try to keep insects that chirp in our daily lives, or listen to the sounds of insects, and even feel a sense of transience in the sound of certain insects.
Finally, a few things to keep in mind when listening to my insect music.
Do not use headphones or earphones to listen.

Kazuya Matsumoto is a Musician SoundArtists Composer percussionist and Drummer from Kanazawa (Ishikawa) now based in Tokyo.
Matsumoto uses any objects that sounds including Japanese instruments like Hamon and Shamisen.
He focuses on the sound itself rather than the notes and melodies, and performs and records in the nature to create documental pieces.
By mixing his performance with environmental sounds, he transforms the whole space giving the audience a new experience.
In 2013, he received the grad prix award in the Otokuchi project which was held as the related project of Setouchi International Art Festival.
In 2014, he produced music for Primitive Sense Art Festival.
In 2015, he releases his 1st solo album “Mizu no katachi“from SPEKK label.
In 2016, he joined the “Kenko music festival” organized by the Commons label hosted by Ryuichi Sakamoto. He has also toured extensively throughout Japan (56 shows) as the “Mizu no Katachi release tour”.
In 2017, his first sound installation “Sound capsule ~ Kazuya Matsumoto himself as an exhibit” was exhibited at the “Nakagin Capsule Tower OPEN CELL 2017” held at a profound architecture designed by Kisho Kurokawa.
he releases his 2nd solo album “Ochill Chill Michill“from SPEKK label.
They hold a “Ochill Chill Michill Release Tour” that goes around all 47 prefectures and has over 100 performances in total. They will perform at Kanazawa Night Museum 2017, Zero-date Boys’ Art School 2017, Kobe Art Festival commemorating 150 years since its opening, Kumamoto Modern Art Museum, etc.
In 2018, he was in charge of the music for Nao Yoshigai “Grand Bouquet/The Most Beautiful Ladies of You” which was exhibited at the “Open Space 2018 in Transition.” held by the ICC.
At the chago/Residence Gallery, they have a dynamic movement exhibition “Moment/Mement” where they live in the gallery during the period and keep exhibiting the sound.
He held a Bustrio and Kazuya Matsumoto “Black and White and Ghosts.” at the Echigo Tsumari Art Triennale in the Art Festival of the Earth. This performance will be held at Kanazawa 21 Century Museum of Art as a part of the art exchange joint project.
Participated in “Open Grind House”, a residence program by Kichijoji Theater and Bustrio.
In 2019, Sound performance “Tetsusaeru” tour is held.
“Grand Bouquet” directed by Nao Yoshikai, who was in charge of music in 2018, was officially invited to the Cannes Film Festival during its Director’s Week.
He appeared as a DOMMUNE Presents non-musical instrument player “World of Kazuya Matsumoto.” at the Setouchi International Art Festival 2019 DOMMUNE SETOUCHI.
