Projekt Gestalten is the alter ego of Berlin-based, Brazilian-born electronic music producer and DJ Diego Garcia. A resident of the boundary-pushing queer art collective and party series Pornceptual, Projekt Gestalten is known for a raw, uncompromising sonic palette that fuses techno, electro, tribal, and cinematic atmospheres into emotionally charged, high-intensity journeys.
 
Operating at the intersection of sound, identity, and subversion, Projekt Gestalten’s music challenges norms — sonically and socially. Their sets are a staple of Berlin’s underground, where they command dance floors with relentless energy, narrative structure, and fearless sensuality. Head of queer label VRAAA Records, their releases have earned them a dedicated following within Europe’s queer club circuits and beyond.

More than a DJ or producer, Projekt Gestalten is a multidisciplinary artist who uses music as a vehicle for transformation and transgression. Their work often explores themes of gender, sexuality, desire, and duality — offering catharsis and connection through immersive sound design and provocative aesthetics.

Whether performing in a DJ set or live set format, Projekt Gestalten continues to forge new territory in queer electronic music, asserting themselves as a powerful voice in the ongoing evolution of club culture.

Total Abstraction is a collaboration between two aspiring South African electronic DJs, joining forces to bring a fresh approach to DJing in the local club scene. Tim & Aadil are both self-taught DJ/producers who have spent the greater part of 2011 learning from the best DJs and producers in the world, by diligently attending every dance event imaginable. The resulting Total Abstraction sound is a unique blend of different styles and EDM (Electronic Dance Music) genres. Their live sets are typically filled with crazy mashups and dancefloor destroyers, mixed with cutting edge techniques and effects.

Total Abstraction’s breakthrough came in early 2012, when they won the SAtrancefamily Epic Trance Competition, with a mix that was described as “top-class” by South African radio veteran, Derek ‘The Bandit’. Since then, Total Abstraction was featured on UJFM, a local radio station which reaches over 30 000 listeners. 

Total Abstraction has headlined numerous events at venues across South Africa, including Tokyo Star [JHB], The Purple Turtle [CT] (co-headlined alongside one of SA’s most accomplished trance producers, Jason van Wyk), and Johannesburg’s premier electronic dance music venue: Truth Nightclub.

Total Abstraction is now known for their ability to create live mashups, edits and remixes, while also flawlessly mixing in the next track when the crowd least expects it. This is achieved using a custom setup that includes up to 7 decks, 2 mixers and a midi-keyboard/drum pad – for a truly unique live experience!
