Wrote a song when my grandmother passed away suddenly. She was always the most special person in our family. Every time with her was a good time, and she sure was a wild one. I know a lot of people have someone in their life like that, and when they lose them it hurts a whole lot. So if you still have them please treasure them, because it won't last forever.

Wrote a song about how when you're raising kids it's difficult to let them do things because it can cause a lot of anxiety. But if you let em do the things they like, and guide them through their mistakes they will end up making better decisions as an adult. Sometimes it's good to just let em be. I want to be clear though, this song does not mean to let your kid just run wild and be naughty.

This is an acoustic version of a collab I did with Miami Jeff. We wrote the lyrics together. I sent him a demo of a song similar to this with just some guitar and the lyrics. He restructured the lyrics to flow better and added some of his own to it. He constructed a masterpiece with a full instrumental and vocal guide for me to follow. I was stuck on my own as well, Miami Jeff was cool with doing both, with this coming out as a reprise or alternative version. I hope you enjoy this one, and if you haven't heard the version on Miami Jeff's page, I highly recommend it. It has a very cool video, along with some awesome track art.

Like Robots Do (Reprise)

This is the 3rd release from a collection of songs I have been working on with Steve. Since beginning these quests with Steve, I feel as if I have been flooded with ideas. The lyrics have just rushed to me. Just listening to some of his instrumentals they lyrics just come to me. More to come very soon, some have already been made. This is a song I created with a good friend of mine at work. We work the opposite shift, but we always run into each other. We had an immediate connection and the lyrics I wrote matched up almost perfectly with what he wanted to do with the song. We hope to do more and start recording stuff together but it's been really tough with life. Life gets so busy sometimes, and you just gotta keep rolling with the punches.

How you be feelin, life keeps on dealin, demons be appealing, you’re hooked and they’re reeling, so good at concealing, always double dealing, but watch out it’s your soul they be stealin.

There's something very special about the making of a song. Sometimes its lyrics given music, or music given a voice of it's own. This time it was probably even more special. I wanted to show my daughter how to write and record a song. So I wrote some lyrics practiced some and recorded it while explaining everything I was doing. I told her that words are magic, and you can use them to shape the world around you. You can use them to hurt people, make them sad, make them laugh... but ultimately I hoped that she would use her words wisely to uplift people's spirits. In turn it would shape her world for the better. That if she used her words to harm others, those words would harm her in return. If she used her words for good, it would shape her into the beautiful woman she is meant to be some day. I hope you all find this song as beautiful as I do.

This is just Acoustic guitar, some basic drums and vocal. Might add more to it later, clean it up some. I really liked writing and recording this one, it has a lot of potential I think and is very catchy. I find it getting stuck in my head more so than a lot of my previous songs. Working on a collab, I just did this off the top today. Wrote it today, recorded an acoustic loop for the lyrics I wrote and sang it raw no rehearsing. Came out nice I think. I may go back and make a full song out of it some day. But for now just my guitar and voice. Hope you enjoy

I feel like we all get worn down from time to time. Its difficult to explain why we do the things we do. Sometimes it's hard to find the words. When the exhaustion hits, well it's hard to even do anything sometimes. Give yourself a little break, some credit for making it this far, wipe those tears away and give it another go, but most of all, don't give up.

This Old Jacket

I was with my parents, kids and wife. We were in the car all driving somewhere. A story came up randomly, because we were all arguing about driving with your emergency lights on during a storm. My mom said she was pulled over one time with her emergency lights on out in some rural roads. We asked if it was during a storm, she said no she was out following my dad in the dark so he could see. He was training to be a highway patrol officer at the time, and knowing my dad he worked his ass off to make that dream come true. This was before I was even born, but I had never heard that story. Just hearing it, made me realize how much my parents loved each other, the sacrifices they made for each other, it was just a beautiful moment. So, being me, I wrote a song about it of course. Rural Country Roads

Had a long 4 day stretch at the hospital this week, and I had a patient who I really enjoyed talking to. He talked about how he loved to grow his own watermelon, and that nothing made him happier than an ice cold piece of watermelon and an ice cold beer. He told me he could tell I was just like him, a big momma's boy with the heart of a teddy bear. We talked about a lot and it was a very memorable patient, I won't ever forget. He told me "You can just tell when someone is a true country boy." Hope you enjoy the song. I hope one day I'll see him again and get to show him the song he inspired.

It took me a long time to pursue music. I always wanted to, and I was told I had a nice voice for it from time to time. However, I was full of self doubt, like most people I'm sure. When I first started recording it was on my phone, and to be frank it sounded pretty bad. It took me awhile to learn how to make it sound good. How you hear it in your head is usually not really what it sounds like. After awhile though I started being able to make a song within a few days to a week. It took me a long time to get things to where they are now. I have a full time job, and a family, responsibilities, but I also have a dream. I realize, it may never be where I dreamt it would be, but that's ok. I'm having fun and leaving something behind for my family for when I'm eventually gone. I just wanted to write a song about that. It's a quick easy number, nothing complex just 4 chords and a strumming pattern. Hope you enjoy!

Been enjoying going out in nature with the family lately, we go to the beach, find shark teeth and shells, watch sunsets, and check out the stars. Each time I go, I think about the next time I can go, it really helps to unplug sometimes.

Just did this more for fun than anything. Came up with the guitar part first on this one, and then just wrote some lyrics to go with it. Recorded the guitar, then vocals, then added a little bit of drum. It's nothing serious, just for fun, as usual.

Someone I recently met, but would consider a friend at this point, helped me with this song. I was in a really bad funk and having trouble making new songs. I asked for some help, and he showed up and was super supportive. I consider this a get back on track tune and it's very special to me. I hope you enjoy it!

Another band I truly love, Death Cab for Cutie, I plan to do a few of their songs, but this one has always been my favorite of theirs. I've listened to this song 100s of times over the years, and to me it never gets old. Hope you enjoy the cover!

If you're interested in the guitar I used for this it's the Takamine EF341SC Pro Series. Such an amazing guitar, I did a bunch of research on the type of sound I wanted, and I chose this. I tried out some Taylors and other various guitars, but they weren't giving me the sound I wanted. They didn't have any of this guitar in stock and had to order it, I did it through Guitar Center cuz some guy there was like I'll give you 10% off which is like 200$ cheaper than anywhere else I looked, so I just went with it. It got delayed in shipping a couple of times and it took awhile to get, but I've had it almost a year now, and it has really grown on me.

Okay, so I know this is a long one... but hear me out. This is mine and my wife's story in a song, heavily inspired at least. When we were very young, when I first saw her I had this strange feeling, like she was the one. Stupid hormones right? You'd really think so, but it was different. I crushed on plenty of girls. Anyway, I pursued her like any normal horny teenager would, and she basically pretended I didn't even exist at first. Typical right? Anyway, that didn't stop me, nope I was stubborn as a mule, still am. So I kept on. Eventually she noticed me, I have no idea how I accomplished it, I was basically an idiot with girls. It's probably why I feel consistency is key, although now days you'd probably end up in jail for harassment... I wasn't disgusting if that's what you're thinking, just a little overly persistent... yeah that's what we'll go with.

Anyway, we go out, and we were young, but the chemistry was definitely there... but her mom, oh my god her mom. I just couldn't do it. She literally watched me like a hawk, and I definitely had some oppositional defiant shit going on as a teenager. So, I told her I needed a break for a bit. We would still meet up from time to time and always end up making out etc... and I was good with just not having a girlfriend and just living life, and occasionally meeting up... but I guess she wasn't. I took too long and she ended up with a boyfriend. I was furious, man jealousy sure is a mother fucker.

So, I did some things I'm not proud of. She was of course, in my strange mind, meant to be with me. Eventually I let it go, but as how all young love stories go, we would see each other in the halls, and I ended up being a teacher's aid in one of her classes. So, I started straight up telling her my inner thoughts. Like that I missed her, and she was beautiful. She would always say the classic line "I have a boyfriend" but I'd say "then why is your face so red." Overtime we started talking again. She still had her boyfriend, and I respected her boundaries that she put up, mostly. I'd push it from time to time, and she'd get mad and storm off.

One day though was really different than all the others. She seemed so sad, and I could tell. So, I was there for her. We hung out, and she came over to my house after school... don't get ahead of yourself now we didn't do anything, she still had a boyfriend. We just watched a couple funny movies, laughed and talked. She said she felt better, and thanked me for cheering her up. Then she told me she was moving to California, we lived in Arizona at the time. I was fucking devastated. I was waiting for her, for months. I didn't want anyone else. No one else gave me the same feelings... not even close. Long story short she left for California, and that was that. I would call many times from my cell phone and she'd never pick up. So I just moved on some I guess, at least for a few months.

One day, I got the brilliant Idea to call from a blocked number. Low and behold she picks up. I say hello, she says hey. I ask "why have you been ignoring my calls?" I don't remember exactly what she said but it had something to do with she felt bad for having feelings for me when she was with her boyfriend still. Silence... then she said "but that doesn't matter anymore, he cheated on me, we're done." I could tell she was super upset about it, so I hid my true feelings. I was overjoyed, those words were like butter and jam on my dry toast. I just said "I'm here for you, whatever you need." And we talked, and talked and talked, so long we just talked everyday. We talked about everything, we fell asleep on the phone together. I sang her songs, told her jokes. We fell in love all over again, 10 fold... and eventually, we were back together... and haven't been apart since. Sure it was like 2 years of long distance, and moving her back down to Arizona when she graduated high school. It's a true love story...YW

I wanted to include a little talk at the beginning, I know many people probably don't read all the descriptions. Myself included. I've been thinking of a way to reach people more and I figured it's worth a shot to start talking about the song I'm performing. This is a live take with no editing what so ever. Just cranked up a little reverb and then recorded. I did the song a few times before it sounded how I wanted it to. Personally, I got a lot of pleasure out of making this song. Forced Serenity

This song is about my son. I think with this song, I plan to add a second part about my daughter as well, and then improve the song a little, but this will be the style mostly. I just wanted to write what I would say to any of my children. In fact I'd go as far to say I'd say this to any child. Just be you because the real you is incredible. If you are yourself, you will end up with people who love you. You don't need everyone to love you, just a few will do. Anyway, I hope you're all out there being your most incredible selves! Tiz but a demo. Currently, the ideas are flowing so I'm just getting the base ideas out there. It's still a complete song in a sense, but as with everything in life there is always room for improvement. As with most of my songs, it's just vocal and guitar with some added effects. I feel like I often get lost in the online world, and I forget to focus on the importance of real life. I'm pretty sure many people have this same exact issue. So I wanted to make a cool song about it. Strangely enough, it was mostly inspired by some AI songs I have heard, and just the simple lack of emotion, and how terrible it sounded to me. The thought, of a slow change where people no longer can tell the difference anymore and we're all just robots, essentially, just crossed my mind. Anyway, cool idea, pretty cool song, can improve, but I'll work on that... someday, haha. Later everyone!

Really wanted to have a strong emotional guitar, so I a found a couple chords I liked and did some finger picking trying to emphasize the base note. Haven't been making music lately needed something light to get me back into the swing of things. Hope you all are doing alright, been rough around her lately.

Goner

I work as a nurse in the state of Florida and I love being there for people in need. My other true passion is making music. I'm kind of an amateur but I look forward to getting better and making the best music I can.

Most the songs I do in about a day and then move on. I don't have the skill to make them radio quality yet, but I hope with collaborating with others and making my own music I will learn some skills along the way. I don't focus on perfection, I focus on emotion and try to put feeling into my music.

Also, I love to get lost in other peoples work, I will often play video games while listening to a bunch of someone else's works and commenting on the ones I like the most, not all though, don't wanna seem like a stalker, unless you like that of course.

Been feeling a little burnt out lately, so if I'm not responsive please don't take it personal. Having to work OT to keep the family afloat, so I haven't had time for music and when I do have any time I'm just too exhausted. I definitely want to make more it brings me a lot of joy to make music. At the same time it is very taxing, reaching into the depths can sometimes cause unwanted feelings to linger longer than they should. Anyway, I love all the support you have all sent my way.
